A Wealth of Knowledge and Experience
Revisado: 07-07-23
This book was very helpful in refelection of dealing with someone who has NPD. The concept of "echo-codependency" was also very helpful. Hearing Richard's story was captivating and gave great context for what he explains as the book goes on. Dealing with someone who has NPD has been for me overwhelming, dark, confusing, terrifying and more. I am fine these days, and books like this one have helped in my path. I hope Richard writes more. I really feel he should be making more books that YouTube videos, after this ground-breaking book.
Thanks Richard

Historia
The Work is simply four questions that, when applied to a specific problem, enable you to see what is troubling you in an entirely different light. As Katie says, "It's not the problem that causes our suffering; it's our thinking about the problem." Contrary to popular belief, trying to let go of a painful thought never works; instead, once we have done The Work, the thought lets go of us. At that point we can truly love what is, just as it is.

What a great tool for critical thinking and peace. Some parts were strange and frustrating, but persisting I got the point.
