Historia
Ed Sanders gave listeners their clearest insight yet into the disturbing world of Charles Manson and his followers when he published The Family in 1971. Continuing that journalistic tradition, Sanders presents the most thorough look ever into the heartbreaking story of Sharon Tate, the iconic actress who found love, fame, and ultimately tragedy during her all-too-brief life.

Ohhh weee ohhhh.
Revisado: 04-29-25
I must say that I’m very disappointed. I had read The Family and enjoy Ed Sanders writing and had high hopes for this book, but they were soon dashed.
The information and stories of Sharon Tate’s life were interesting and touching. But when the book is 25% Tate, and 75% everything that allegedly deals with the bigger picture on this tragedy the focus gets lost in the frey.

If anyone still has any doubt why Charles Manson was convicted of the crimes as a conspirator and whether or not he controlled his followers, this book should dispel those doubts. Manson, ironically, was his own worst enemy as can clearly be seen in the pages of this book.

10050 CHELLO Drive…..
Revisado: 03-15-25
I thought this would be an interesting take from the head jurors perspective. And it was on how it affected him and his family. I only wish that they would’ve invested in an actual “Human Being” narrator. VR Narration got several names and places VERY WRONG and very inconsistent. Three different pronunciations of Houten and other known names as well. It drove me absolutely crazy and I had to give performance a star or I couldn’t warn if that kind of thing drives you crazy. VR may be good for something… but not narrating books!!! You’ve been warned.

Historia
On July 4, 2022, a shooter climbed onto a rooftop in Highland Park, Illinois, and opened fire on a Fourth of July parade below, killing seven people and wounding dozens more. Prosecutors charged Robert “Bobby” Crimo III with the mass shooting. But this attack was part of something even more insidious. Bobby had created an elaborate game—complete with cryptic videos, a book of numbers, and an eerie online presence—designed to seed a conspiracy theory about the massacre.

“Do you want to play a game?”
Revisado: 02-26-25
Another Gem delivered by Trevor Aaronson. In this game anyone can play, or be played if you allow it. Delving deep into a twisted mind, and trying not to lose your own while figuring it out. Great investigation!!!! A must listen.

Historia
Once upon a time Rolling Stone contributing editor Erik Hedegaard became the last mainstream media journalist to interview Charles Manson. But the story he wrote for RS in 2013 didn’t begin to capture the strange and lingering effect Manson would have on his life. Now, in this Audible Original, you’ll hear about the making of that story, including audio of the phone calls Hedegaard received from Manson on a regular basis, interviews he conducted with Los Angeles District Attorney Vincent Bugliosi, as well as conversations he had with Manson Family members.

“You may be a lover but you ain’t no dancer…”
Revisado: 02-25-25
I really enjoyed the authors story. And that’s what this was… the authors story. Nothing new has come into the forefront as far as the Manson story is concerned. But, the individual stories from people who actually knew Manson for however brief that time may have been have been fascinating.
The author allows us access not only into Mansons mind, but into the private thoughts of his own. And he pulls no punches as to where those thought took him. WAY better the Guinn’s book!!! BRAVO Erik.

Manson……… again???
Revisado: 07-24-24
My first thought…. Another Manson book?? However, this authors past of actually being there during the trails, and interviews with family members and experiences make this version of the same old stuff much more palatable with a person touch that could only come off from being there since the beginning. Bravo!!! WAY better than the Guinn book!!! Give it a listen!!
