Historia
This is a story of the most well documented, most commented on love affair of our times. Yet the personalities behind the facade remain elusive and the nature of their relationship is an enigma. This is the first major biography of Charles and Camilla, two people who have battled against the curious lot that fate has thrown their way. Gyles Brandreth returns to the same ground as his last book, the bestselling "Philip and Elizabeth"; "Portrait of a Marriage".

Historia
Northanger Abbey, a satire of Gothic melodrama, is one of Jane Austen's most popular works. When Catherine Morland is launched into the politics and pitfalls of the Bath social season, she behaves with the cheerful open-mindedness of one of Jane Austen's most eligible classic heroines.

Historia
Anne Elliot is a young woman of perfect breeding and unwavering integrity. Seven years after she is persuaded to reject Captain Wentworth's offer of marriage, her feelings for him are still strong. By the time she realizes this, Wentworth seems to only have eyes for the attractive, though flighty, Louisa Musgrove. Set against the world of the country gentry in Regency England, Persuasion critically portrays the many aspects of proper society.

A beautiful reading
Revisado: 02-26-15
Where does Persuasion rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
"Persuasion" is, along with "Sense and Sensibility", my most favorite story. Michael Page has a pleasant voice and performs this novel with elegance and refinement.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Persuasion?
Anne is my favorite character throughout the novel and I always enjoy how well she handles difficult situations with such grace and nobility. Perhaps the greatest moment of the novel is at the end when she and Frederick finally reunite.
I also particularly like moments with Sir Walter Elliot because he is a very funny character. In fact I think he is one of the most well written characters in the history of literature; and though he is vain I cannot help but feel compassion for him.
What about Michael Page’s performance did you like?
He is a talented actor and tells this story quite well.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book has been one of my favorites since I was very young and has helped me throughout my life. I experience a great deal of emotions whenever I read or listen to this book.

Historia
The first of Jane Austen's novels to be published, Sense and Sensibility marked the debut of England's primary novelist of manners. Convinced that "three or four families in a country village is the very thing to work upon", Austen created a brilliant tragicomedy of flirtation and folly.

By George this is well done! (ie: I'm lovin' it)
Revisado: 01-03-15
If you could sum up Sense and Sensibility in three words, what would they be?
The best of the best what more can I say? One of the greatest books every written, a veritable gift to humanity.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Elinor because her integrity, patience and self control is admirable. Second would be Colonel Brandon for his patience, humility and kindness. Tying for third place would be Marianne and Edward for they are both so splendidly written.
Have you listened to any of Wanda McCaddon’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, she's absolutely wonderful!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
