Acerca de esta escucha
Anne Elliot and Captain Wentworth exemplify the country gentry in Regency England in Jane Austen's endearing tale.
Anne Elliot is a young woman of perfect breeding and unwavering integrity. Seven years after she is persuaded to reject Captain Wentworth's offer of marriage, her feelings for him are still strong. By the time she realizes this, Wentworth seems to only have eyes for the attractive, though flighty, Louisa Musgrove.
Set against the world of the country gentry in Regency England, Persuasion critically portrays the many aspects of proper society - its failings and humor - as well as presenting a tender story of determination and enduring love.
This novel is part of Brilliance Audio's extensive Classic Collection, bringing you timeless masterpieces that you and your family are sure to love.

A beautiful reading
Where does Persuasion rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
"Persuasion" is, along with "Sense and Sensibility", my most favorite story. Michael Page has a pleasant voice and performs this novel with elegance and refinement.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Persuasion?
Anne is my favorite character throughout the novel and I always enjoy how well she handles difficult situations with such grace and nobility. Perhaps the greatest moment of the novel is at the end when she and Frederick finally reunite.
I also particularly like moments with Sir Walter Elliot because he is a very funny character. In fact I think he is one of the most well written characters in the history of literature; and though he is vain I cannot help but feel compassion for him.
What about Michael Page’s performance did you like?
He is a talented actor and tells this story quite well.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book has been one of my favorites since I was very young and has helped me throughout my life. I experience a great deal of emotions whenever I read or listen to this book.
