This is a very good first step towards getting into unionizing. It’s not as in depth but the short listening time means it’s digestible for just about anyone.

Historia
On the Line takes listeners inside a bold five-year campaign to bring a union to the dangerous industrial laundry factories of Phoenix, Arizona. Workers here wash hospital, hotel, and restaurant linens and face harsh conditions: routine exposure to biohazardous waste, injuries from surgical tools left in hospital sheets, and burns from overheated machinery. Broken U.S. labor law makes it nearly impossible for them to fight back.

Two stories told side by side that perfectly encompass the important nature of organized workers and unions. I call back to this book at least once per month. I do a lot of TikTok content and any chance I get I tell people to check this book out. It’s PERFECT for people with a low level knowledge of unions. Great fundamentals. This and No Shortcuts should be considered required reading for future organizers or union oriented workers.

Very very good but one flaw
Revisado: 02-10-25
Every so often you listen to RBG speak publicly during the book. The audio during these parts can be a bit choppy. Sounds like shes very far away from the device it was recorded on. Other than that, perfection.
