I absolutely loved this book. It was filled with twists and turns I never expected. The fact that it was free was an unexpected bonus.

BEAUTIFUL, HEART WRENCHING
Revisado: 02-12-21
I loved this AUDIOBOOK. The narration was amazing. The polémic tópic was handled in a way that showed both sides of the contraversy with humour and tenderness. Thereare so many memorable moments, unforgettable characters and a reality to the hardships of the illegals and the unawareness of the privileged anglos of exactly what their gardeners, maids and Serving staff have given up in their Quest for the American dream . Was unsure of this book at first for a few bad reviews but so very glad I ignored them. I highly recommend this book. One of my Best listens.

Really enjoyed the story. Very believable. Tate's voice was mesmerizing. Easy to see how that type of personality can seduce groups of lonely people and add in the drugs and it is a perfect storm

Historia
Imagine living with a fear so visceral each day that simply walking down the street draws terror to one’s core. That’s the best case scenario for a woman on the streets of Juárez, Mexico. Kate del Castillo (La Reina del Sur) delivers a stunning one-woman performance that transports listeners from a New York stage to the treacherous streets of Juárez, Mexico, where thousands of women have been murdered in an ongoing epidemic of violence.

I don't have words to describe what I feel
Revisado: 10-12-19
The women of Juarez that have disappeared and been raped, murdered and desecrated is a national shame. I live in Mexico and every day women from all parts of Mexico not just Juarez disappear... Murdered, sold into prostitution, abused and discarded like garbage. How and when will it stop? When men stop acting like animals and believe that women have value and are not just here for their degenerate pastime. This reading made me cry because I know that that will not happen in my lifetime. The narration by Kate de Castillo was powerful and I wish everyone could hear this message.
