If you aren’t from the South, please refrain from judgement
Revisado: 06-13-23
At the beginning, I was slightly taken aback that the narrator had changed. But the soothing, spot on accent left me barely remembering the original narrator (who was fabulous).
As a native of North Carolina and the South, I find it extremely rude that the world in general thinks it is ok to be blatantly disrespectful to someone who has dedicated a large portion of their time trying to educate us on such an important topic. Shame on you people given this book a lower review, just because the narrator changed!!! Think past that, look at the big picture!!!

Historia
Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

Historia
The two-time Emmy Award-winning actress has written her first book, a surprisingly raw and triumphant memoir that is outrageous, moving, sweet, tragic, and heartbreakingly honest. Guts is a true triumph - a memoir that manages to be as frank and revealing as Augusten Burroughs, yet as hilarious and witty as David Sedaris.

Gutsy, Real & Hilarious!!
Revisado: 04-30-12
If you could sum up Guts in three words, what would they be?
Ha... see headline.
What did you like best about this story?
The thing I liked best was how honest she was, shameless bravery is an understatement. Second would have to be how one minute I was laughing my ass off and the next I was crying.
What does Kristen Johnston bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I'd have to say the accents, she is FABULOUS.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Both... I actually went back and listened to it again, I've only done that with one other book, The Help... So it's safe to say, I HIGHLY recommend GUTS.
