Historia
A gleefully gruesome look at the actual science behind the most outlandish, cartoonish, and impossible deaths you can imagine. What would happen if you took a swim outside a deep-sea submarine wearing only a swimsuit? How long could you last if you stood on the surface of the sun? How far could you actually get in digging a hole to China? Paul Doherty, senior staff scientist at San Francisco's famed Exploratorium Museum, and writer Cody Cassidy explore the real science behind these and other fantastical scenarios.

Great stories!
Revisado: 08-03-22
Great stories just like the first round. Only mark down I’d give would be to the editor for not catching the small glitches in the audio replays of words randomly once in awhile. Shot gun story was intense as all get out.

Historia
The year is A.D. 922. A refined Arab courtier, representative of the powerful Caliph of Baghdad, encounters a party of Viking warriors who are journeying to the barbaric North. He is appalled by their Viking customs - the wanton sexuality of their pale, angular women, their disregard for cleanliness...their cold-blooded human sacrifices. But it is not until they reach the depths of the Northland that the courtier learns the horrifying and inescapable truth.

Revisado: 07-08-22
Outstanding book, as a kid I saw the movie and remember It decently well. The book was all the movie plus some as you would imagine. The fighting scenes in this book are pretty gnarly and unless you listen to the epilogue you’d never know it’s fiction. Great book all around.
