It’s entertaining without too much violence. The digital voice sometimes mispronounces words, even words pronounced correctly many times before.

Only OK.

I did not like that the entire plot and resolution to happen in the last few pages. The story was a bit too “out there”. Not realistic. The narration was pretty good.

Historia
From the day that old Nana Reja found a baby abandoned under a bridge, the life of a small Mexican town forever changed. Disfigured and covered in a blanket of bees, little Simonopio is for some locals the stuff of superstition, a child kissed by the devil. But he is welcomed by landowners Francisco and Beatriz Morales, who adopt him and care for him. As he grows up, Simonopio becomes a cause for wonder to the Morales family, because when the uncannily gifted child closes his eyes, he can see what no one else can - visions of all that’s yet to come, both beautiful and dangerous.

Historia
With courage, grace, and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of World War II and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: the women's war. The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.

A superb book
Revisado: 08-18-16
So few stories of the war capture the female perspective, and what it means to survive a war as an ordinary and extraordinary woman. This amazing story is lush with nuance and full of lovely detail. And the beautiful voice of the narrator keeps echoing in your head long after it is finished. The way the tale is laid out with the narrator adds a depth of emotion few novels of today can equal. From the first delightful words to the touching end, this story rends your heart and mends it back again.
