Thought the story was going to be a general suspense, especially with a somewhat slow start. Dang was I wrong! It kept me guessing until the very end! The performance was excellent which added to the story. The narrator ingrained emotions in her reading which really makes the overall delivery great. Good listen!

Loved this story. We never really know what triggers others. I liked the characters flawed but strong enough to know they needed help. We all take time to heal and we all have to find our way to do so. This story felt real and I appreciated how it was written with respect to mental health.
I know mental health issues having seen it in my family, even though theirs was no to chemical imbalances. It’s no different in terms of the help needed.
Before I go, thanks Michael Dean for delivering the story with the passion needed for the story! Now I can read the book and get transported again!!

I was a bit unsure at the start of the book if I would like it. But the story just crept up on me and I truly enjoyed it. Kerian was witty, gentle to Matt’s stern and “imposing” personality which made for a great pair. Great suspense with the right amount of romance.

This is the third book in this series that I have listened to, and by this author. I must say the performances has made them a fantastic listen. The story is interesting with characters sarcastically funny, coyly emotional and all around fun. Can’t wait to finish the other books in the series!
