DNF at like the 3rd story
I mean I dont know where to start!
Like I feel bad wasting my audible credit on it and I didn't like it! "Sorry to say that" Like the synopsis of each story was interesting but then when u head to the first story and they keep n taking about Starbuck drink constantly I mean come on and give me a break! And then heading to the 2nd story it gave me the ick and how the step father was acting and her mom and with the cottage and finally with the 3rd story about murdered teenage girls I had to stop there cause I just got tired of the writing style of each story and the way it was narrated and it just bored me.

Historia
On March 10, 1920, in Pachuca, Mexico, the Compañía de Santa Gertrudis may have committed murder. The alert was first raised at six in the morning: A fire was tearing through the El Bordo mine. After a brief evacuation, the mouths of the shafts were sealed. Company representatives hastened to assert that “no more than 10” men remained inside the mineshafts, and that all 10 were most certainly dead. Yet when the mine was opened six days later, the death toll was not 10 but 87. And there were seven survivors.

I have no prior info
Revisado: 03-24-24
I feel like the read was in 1 ear and out of the other.
It's a non-fiction read about the El Bordo Mine Fire that happened in 1920 and the coverup that happened after.
I feel like if you have no idea about that history or have any prior knowledge about it, you won't understand a lot of things. I like true crime and history and all but again since I have no info about it or never have heard it maybe that's why it was "meh" for me. And may if I have actually read it instead of listened to it I might have enjoyed it more.
That's all I can say about.

what's with the Apple Peeler!!!!
Revisado: 03-23-24
I have no idea what I just listen to!!!!
I don't mind gore or weird but this is like something I can't explain.
Email correspondence between 2 females in 2000 and with this correspondence start a "parasitic relationship" to say the least! I mean I was expecting more like love or passion or angst not reading to a Dom/Sub play "I'm fine reading" but in this one it doesn't make any sense. And what's with the Apple Peeler??!!! the entire text is in "IM" man I feel old and brings back memories with starting with a police report?!
I mean the entire tone was not it for me, same for the writing style and in parts I wanted to DNF the book and whine cause of it.
For an almost 2 hours audio book I felt it was dragging too much.

Nope
Revisado: 12-14-23
Even though it’s a short story I waa still expecting more. You read the synopsis and think that it’s a Horror/Thriller but I’m sorry this was no way near it. I feel like after 30-45 min you kinda suspect what’s going on.
It’s about Eve who is in the run from her abusive boyfriend when she stumble on a motel on the side of the road and from there she notice weird things happening that only she notices and not the motel owner.
It would have been better if not the female narrator trying to deepen to mimic a “male voice” it was sooo cringe I couldn’t and sorry to think I wasted a credit for it!

When Tom is invited to the reading of a will of a great-uncle he’s never heard of, there’s no way to know what to expect. But on the long list of possible things to inherit, a travelling carnival ghost train is the very last on the list. To get his full $10 million inheritance, all Tom has to do is run the antique ride until his 18th birthday. Easy. Except for a strange caped-creep he’s never met, who’s trying to con him out of the money...and the actual ghosts and ghouls who call the ride home.

Very Bland
Revisado: 12-10-23
DNF at almost 45%
The story about an adopted 14 year kid named Thomas inheriting a Ghost Train from his late great uncle was really interesting and getting 10+ Million Euro when he turns 18. My issue is when listing to the audio book is that the tune is very bland and on the same level and its very boring. I mean its should be middle grade which I really enjoy but this one is a nope for me.

Every mating season, the alien overlords make a selection. It is a fact of life that all humans accept. For Alex, the yearly selections are a mild annoyance. She knows she is not the physical type the creatures desire, so their eyes slide right over her. At least, they did. Something new is coming. The Supreme Overlord is participating in the selection for the first time since their arrival. And apparently, not all of the aliens have the same type.

It’s says Erotic and all but honestly. It’s was bland for me. I repetitiveness of sexual words (pussy, cum over and over again and how she is the tallest among the sacrifices and the rest are short and the aliens like the apposite (short girls) and how the overlord chose her and wow 🙂🙃 nope.

Revisado: 09-05-23
My 2nd Audio book of the year!!
What a wonderful cast, sound effects, emotions and story!!!
In a post apocalyptic UK, after 7 years after a comet hit earth. Vampires are spreading all over and people are fighting back and surviving in "bunkers"
Darcy is a tough Vampire Hunter and one day she is hit with an "Accident" that changes her life and changes her perspective in all she knows about Vampires and about her self.
Truly captivating and keeps you on the edge of seat and shocks you in some parts as well.
