AI narrators are NOT good.

They story itself could have keep in engaging in the books, but by book 2 of the box set, I just couldn't anymore. The AI narrator is so bland, and has no feeling, no emotion, and you get lost wwith what charter is who. Unfortunately I couldn't finish this box set, and just glad it was a included listen and i didn't use a credit on it.

These books are beyond my favourite books in my extensive library. even tho 95% of my books are erotica, this one calls to me on another level, and that's made from
Rebecca McCauley the reader... she brings emotions to life!!! you feel the pain, the shattering, the utter tougher, the deep deep LOVE all our loved characters go through.
I've owned this series for many yrs now, and I listen to it every year, and want to start all over again once I'm done... I love laughing, aching, crying through every book!!
and alway hoping Jessica will decide to one add more books... I miss EVERY CHARACTER, as soon as it finishes.

Thank you Jessica for this AMAZEBALLS series!!! And them being Australian make me love it more!!!

Hands down this is THE best Lauren Blakely book I've ever read/listened to. Shane and Joe bring the story to life and the duet adds to this. Loved everything about their story.
The interview and out-takes at the end are well worth the listen. Sad to see this one finished.

Alright .... but....

This is a new to me author. I liked how Ashton and Emma's story began, although thought they moved a little fast. That didn't last for long though; as the story started to drag on, the same type of events happening over and over again. It seemed like Emma was explaining a lot about her past, while Ashton was very quiet. I still had 5 hours to go when I gave up listening. In addition to this, Wen Ross' portrayal of an Australian accent for Chance Bateman is awful - the worst I've ever heard. It was more like a terrible attempt of Irish tongue. Being Australian, this was a huge turn off despite Chance being only a minor part of the book.

Yes on the story! No on the accent.

LOVED this book.... So much so, I've read it before now I decided to listen to it. Michelle Ferguson did a great job, especially with her Aussie accent but Aaron Abano ... No just no. I haven't heard any of his work before so have nothing to compare but as an Australian myself that accent was shocking and spoilt the whole story. Like I said, I'm not familiar with his work, but if he's Australian you can knock me down with a feather. With a better accent, this would have been superb to listen to. What a wonderful book.
