This was an interesting story with a lot of imagination on the authors part. I did love the chemistry between Tyler and Kalistratos and the protectiveness Kalistratos had for Tyler. The end was quite the cliffhanger!
I listen to this on audio, but the next book I believe I’ll just pick up and read because the audio version had a computer generated narrator which I didn’t care for. The voice was very monotone and something that I didn’t enjoy listening to. I would prefer a real person be the narrator versus the computer! I believe I’ll also wait for the full series to be completed before I start with book two.

This was a new author for me and I'm so happy I gave the book a try. 👏
I wasn't sure what to expect of the story, being a somewhat a taboo subject but it was written very tastefully.
Jesse's Mother wanted to get him away from his father so she moved them to Australia for some time. When she started seeing a boyfriend once Jesse was a young man she convinced him to go back to the states to live with his father and his new perfect family to attend college out in California and to let his dad pay for it.
Once Jessie moved into his fathers new home with his step mom and step brother, he couldn't get over how welcoming and happy they were to have him there invading their space. It was so bizarre how happy everyone seemed, Luke his step brother was just so naive. Jesse found himself wanting to be protective of Luke and keep anyone from hurting or making fun of him even though Luke was an adult himself. He was so full of energy and positivity 😃 that Jesse found Lukes outlook on life to be addictive.
I listened to this on audio and the narrators Ellis Evans and Liam DiCosimo did a fantastic job.This was a really good book, I'm so happy I read it and I can't wait to read more from this author!!

Surprises never end

Wow, the surprises just keep coming!!! Ben really wants to believe people have the best intentions 😇 but again he is proved wrong 😑 and Nikolas come to the rescue to save him. This book Nikolas really paid a price for that rescue and Ben being Ben wanted to prove to Nickolas that he isn't the monster that he thinks he is. I really did enjoy this book and all the side characters and drama that went along with it!!! My heart did brake 💔💔😡 at some point in the story but I think that's what happens with this couple, but they seem to overcome everything and come back together stronger than the last time!! 🥰

Intense

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this new series and new author for me, but I wasn’t disappointed. I have to say I started it based on the blurb and Kirk Graves as the narrator. I am so happy I did 🤗 this was suspenseful, full of snarky angels and just overall I can’t get enough of this story, more please!!

It sure does put things in perspective if the shoe was on the other foot. Also makes the judge mental people realize there are multiple sides to a story and situation. 😳 Good for you Jodi Picoult for putting this out there. 👏🏻

Balthazar a true soft heart!

This was another amazing addition to the Black Dagger Brotherhood series!! There was a kind of bittersweet feeling for me at the end. 😏
I was ecstatic that Balthazar and Erika got their hea but at a huge sacrifice 💔 for one of the other characters. Their were many serious and angst moments, probably more in this book than the others in the series.
I respected Erika because she gave Balthazar the benefit of the doubt while hearing him out instead of just judging him. It was wonderful to see his soft and bonding side and his gratitude for the brothers and Lassiter for helping him and Erika.
Devina was true to form a devious, cunning and scheming demon! I do have to admit even though I didn't like her she made me laugh 😂 quite a few times during her temper tantrums 😤
J.R.Ward always amazes me with her creativity and the surprises she puts into her books, I will be waiting for the next one....

Healing

I loved this book! It's not an easy read but throughout the book there is so much healing with so many of the characters. Tate's not an easy person to like at first but he did grew on me and Charlotte just wants to save the world and has a huge heart. Throughout the book I did cry many times but it was so worth the read, the narrators Sebastian York , Jacob Morgan , Ava Erickson did an amazing job too!
I'm so happy I reached out of my normal reads to listen to this amazing book. ;-D

Mind Games

So much more 🤗 than I ANTICIPATED!!!! Wow, I can't even tell you how many times I went back and forth between characters 🤨 trying to figure out who the keeper was! Exhausting, but oh so worth it. Sorry I just finished this book and I am lost for words with how much I enjoyed it!! 🥰👏🏻

I just finished this book and I’m still unsure of my feelings. 😔 It took a turn at the end that surprised me but since most of the book felt like you were missing something I’m not sure if I liked the overall story or not. 🤔 I didn’t like Lydia's the close and personal relationship with C.P. Phalen, because of her unorthodox lab and experiments. 🤨
I will continue on with this series just to see where JR Ward is taking it.

Heartache

I'm still trying to piece together my review and feelings for this book, and I decided this will be my last read of this series. 😳 The first half was interesting and funny, typical Ben and Nic shenanigans but then the floor dropped out the last half of the book.
Based on my feelings during this read I decided to look at the blurbs and reviews on the next books in the series and I'm not interested in more heartache 💔 and frustration 😤....
These last couple of books have had so much drama involved with Ben going off on his own, both the last book and this one. Thank God Nik is such a strong person because otherwise I think Ben would just be too much trouble for the average person, beautiful or not.
I loved all the side characters besides Kate 😡 who came together to help Nik and Ben. What Kate did was unconscionable 😠 especially being Ben was in such a vulnerable state!!!!! My heart was shredded for Nicholas. 😱
I was just happy the author didn't go into to great detail about the unscrupulous act.
Another thing that annoyed me was the denial about being gay throughout most the book, both seemed to be so worried about other peoples opinions! At the end that got resolved ❤ but you always feel like one or the other person is holding back.
I would like to continue on this series but I don't feel I have the strong heart and patience I need to get through what the author has in store for the future of Nik and Ben, I just can't see why they can't solve problems in the future without hurting and tearing each other apart!?!?! One of my favorite books in the series was [book:The Bridge of Silver Wings|56143416], Ben and Nic were working together to get out of a bad situation. 👏 Why can't the other books be similar?
I believe I'm one of the few who didn't love this book so please don't let me discourage you, I just don't have the heart to go through more heart ache for this couple, even though they seemed to end up stronger and more bonded than before. I just can't.....
