Amazing world-building! Each book provides so many details about the world, heroes, and villains. I found myself hating the bad guy and understanding him by the end of the book.

An Expedition Lacking Depth and Engagement

In the book, the world is facing a dire future with climate collapse and deadly government conspiracies. However, what could have been a gripping and thought-provoking tale falls short in various aspects, leaving readers with a lackluster experience.

The storyline struggles to engage readers, feeling flat and slow-paced throughout. The main theme of climate collapse, which drives humanity to flee to the stars, is inadequately explored, leaving readers wanting more depth and detail. The mere mention of soaring temperatures, food shortages, and rising sea levels by 40 feet fails to instill the gravity of the situation.

Unfortunately, the characters suffer from underdevelopment, coming across as one-dimensional and unconvincing. Julia Jennings, the billionaire heiress turned freedom fighter, initially appears promising but disappoints when her commitment to humanity is called into question. Similarly, FBI Agent John Stanhope's portrayal lacks believability, failing to resonate with readers.

The concept of using brain-bots to protect against diseases holds potential, but the lack of research and a single hacker managing to exploit the system undermines its credibility. The absence of crucial details about the world-building contributes to a lack of seriousness and despair, hindering readers from fully immersing themselves in the story.

The ark-like spaceships, meant to ensure humanity's survival on the distant planet Lumera, remain shrouded in mystery due to the lack of description and background. Readers are left yearning for information about the ships' construction, ownership, and control.

The slow pacing compounds the book's issues, making it a tedious read that fails to evoke emotional responses. The characters' decisions, the absence of memorable scenes, and the overall lack of detail left this reviewer feeling annoyed and disconnected from the narrative.

In conclusion, "Lumina Expedition" promises an intriguing science-fiction thriller but ultimately falls short of expectations. Its underdeveloped characters, lack of world-building, and slow pacing undermine the gripping concept of climate collapse and humanity's desperate struggle for survival. Regrettably, this book is not one to be recommended for those seeking an engaging and immersive science-fiction experience.

So many words with so little happening.

I was pleasantly surprised when I found this complete series. Now it's tough to find litrpg stories with an actual ending. I tried to listen to this one, but it's just so confusing. FIghts are tedious and confusing due to many details. Characters are like 2D drawings - flat and not attractive. The story overall is not moving anywhere. All the quests aren't connected (based on the first two books) - just random pseudo-generated adventures.

At first, I had hoped that it would turn into something good. Unfortunately, that hope died at the end of the first book.

There is Sci-Fi and there's this - LOTS of spoilers ahead!
- Earth made an android with biocomputer, and 2 internal fusion reactors and managed to download human consciousness into it. Oh and made it so, that all biological functions are still properly working to have sex and impregnated another human.
- Went to another planet, had ridiculous tech augmentations
- Went to another planet somehow managed to pick up a female alien and managed to have sex with her and impregnate it too.

That last one was it to me. Didn't finish it.

Even though the first couple of chapters were slow, I enjoyed the rest of the book.

I can only hope, that the author intended to make that main character to be so stupid.

I managed to get to book 4, but I just can't finish it.
All the plot lines are not explored and just dropped without a second thought.
There is no plan whatsoever and just bounces from one side quest to another.

But besides that - not exploring the game. It's rules, limits. It's like playing the RPG game and just staying on the main quest and just skipping the dialogs and cutscenes.

I was really disappointed with the story. Listened for till the end and hoping that it will become better.

Main character is bland and not interesting. As if all story doesn't know where it will go.
