Really. took a bit but the right are being blackmailed or willingly corroborating with evil aliens bent on total human social collapse. from antivaxers making a pandemic worse to climate change, hell, even conspiracy theories of an evil lizard shadow government is, infact, work of an evil lizard shadow government and AIs.

Meandering and Nonsensical

incredibly slow and boring. Hours into the book and the main character is still trying to convince the aliens humans are inherently peaceful, regardless of whether humanity's capacity for violence makes them a perfect fit to fight the war.

Decent story. leaves something to be desired.

the story was tropey but still fun. It had an intended lack of finality that makes me want a second book that delves deeper into consequences of the climax on the relationships of these characters. The fact that all the main characters went to high school (and Harvard) together and is mentioned by the "loser villain" quite often but completely ignored by the "cool kid heroes" is the kind of 90's drama writer schlock i found disappointing in a book written in 07.

Overall Decent True Crime Doc

The narrator was OK, there were a few instances where the narrator stumbled, stuttered, or paused inappropriately which could have been remedied by reading the material prior to doing the narration. You can't blame the narrator for using the wrong word however, That is the editors fault. For a series about serial killers, the overall tone of narration could have been more serious. All and all, it is what it bills itself as; a detailed account of the horrific crimes of infamous serial killers.

Rather boring

This was not scary and a bit of a let down. The main characters decent to madness was predictable. Barely a ghost story. expected more backstory as to why the house was haunted and what caused the phenomena. Watch the 1999 movie.
