Historia
Doris Grandfelt, an employee at an accounting firm, was brutally stabbed to death . . . but nobody knew exactly where the crime took place. Her body was found the next night, dumped among a dense thicket of trees along the edge of an urban park, eight miles east of St. Paul, Minnesota. Despite her twin sister Lara Grandfelt’s persistent calls to the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the killer was never found.

An enjoyable listen
Revisado: 04-04-25
Not enough separation in voice intonation by narrator. I never got drawn into the story as I listened to it. it is a story that does keep you seeking the next chapter. I wish the ending was different.

Historia
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Excellent 1st Book, Narrator Portrays MC Well
Revisado: 06-21-24
This story is a page turner and is hard to stop listening to. These types of audio books are rare to hear. Many pick on the narrator's voice, but if you think of the MC Rebecca Soler does a very good job in allowing us to visualize who she is and the hard road she travels to be successful. I hope the 2nd book in this series lives up to the great start. I chose this version over the "Dramatization" version because of how the MC is portrayed by the narrator.

Historia
When Josh Underwood is thrown through a wormhole and lands on an unfamiliar world, he is immediately attacked by flesh-eating worms and snarling wolves. He has one huge advantage. A ring sits on his finger, but it's no ordinary ring. It's alien tech designed to improve its host’s strength, speed, agility, durability and combat instinct. Not all boons are infinitely wondrous. This tech has to understand what Josh needs for it to evolve, and time is of the essence.

Excellent 1st Book in the series, but....
Revisado: 04-24-24
Good story with enough twists that sometimes you aren't sure which way things are going to end up. I also sometimes grin at the the author's literary license when the MC wins a battle. Sometimes the excitement of the story causes the individuality of the character's voice to blur into each other and the listener loses track of who is saying what. While I like Jessica, she doesn't have the vocal range/variations of some other female narrators. Regardless, this does not take away from the enjoyment of this book! Looking forward to starting the 2nd.

Disappointed in last of series
Revisado: 03-07-24
Very little intriguing situations, lacking the action of the previous books and ends with a whimper. Sean has vanquished his scheming enemies in previous books and only has Thor to deal with as the sister queens pose really no challenges for him. This book could be completed in 4 or 4 paragraphs. Use a credit at your own risk.

Narrator Changed has ruined the series,..
Revisado: 02-25-24
I love the Virgil & Savage series, but to turn them into a little boy is a crime (20 something sounding characters). The narrator obviously did not research the previous audio books or the characters. He has turned them into 20 something detectives. i tried to hang in there as long as i could, but i couldn't. I hope this narrator change is not permanent. I couldn't even get into the book itself as i could not help focus on the youthful Virgil & Savage characters.

This Series continues interesting and strong..
Revisado: 01-17-24
Heath Miller continues to draw my interest, peak my curiosity and love towards the team and Jason as they continue to grow and interact with each others and themselves. i know he will come up with something clever to save Gary. I love how he intersperses segments of humor within the serious segments of the teams' activities and interactions. I know it is difficult for some writers to maintain a high level of interest, within a series but Health has managed to create a great series and i hope he can continue to have the ideas and creativeness to keep this series at a high level

Most are born out of spite and fear, but some are out of respect. Now that Nathan and his strike team find themselves battling the invasive Bio-machines of Andromeda, the enemies of all biological life have labeled Nathan and his crew with a new moniker. They call them the Apex Warriors.

Historia
Growing up the eldest son of Sean Valens wasn't always easy–and it wasn't always fun–but when your father/son bonding moments consist of going out to blow things up and kill djevels together, you really don't have a lot to complain about.

Expectations from the Valens Legacy not Met
Revisado: 09-18-23
I guess my expectations from the Valens Legacy books were too high as the Heritage series has evolved into a book for each of the Kids exploits. This is Ok, but don't price a short story about each Valens son as a full story. I have been, following the Valens from the start and i guess more things happen previously in a volume than seem to be happening in this new series. Even some re-telling. I like the series and these new Heritage volumes are interesting, The cost i am being hit with is not worth the story content.

Historia
Mihalis finds himself in a new situation—one in which all of the training he's received growing up isn't helping him to cope as much as he'd hoped. He's angry. He's never truly been angry before in his life, and the anger he's dealing with isn't even coming from him! It's coming from the djevels. His lion side, he's discovered, is far less affected by it than his dark elf, which only makes sense when you consider his dark elf heritage. If he wants to pull himself back together, he needs to understand just what he's dealing with and how to manage it.

Getting to not be worth the cost
Revisado: 09-18-23
If you have been following the series, which i have been, you will find a lot of the book contains previously known incidences that a lot of story space is spent on re-telling. This is the rub I have had with this and the last two books in this series as the cost has remained high but the content has been very limited. I don't mind paying for a good story, but don't spend a 3rd of it retelling something I already heard in a previous volume. I have followed the Valens family from Day one and these last two "Books" are closer to chapters or .5 volumes and have dulled my interest in following the series any longer.
