Great Review of Concepts
Revisado: 03-08-25
This book is a good way to review Scrum concepts. The best parts are the real world success stories that illustrate the concepts. The book was updated in 2024 to include recent examples.

New territory
Revisado: 11-20-22
Due to some of the content, I started to wish I had read the book instead of listening to the audio. But as usual, the narrator pulled it off perfectly. If you like audio, stick with the audio - you will not be sorry. Also this story has less violence than the other stories and so I appreciated that.

Good balance of 3 stories

I enjoyed the balance of three, maybe 4 stories at once. Strike’s personal life, Robin’s personal life and the case(s).

Music lovers connect
Revisado: 06-06-18
I have never heard a narrator as perfectly matched as Mr. Hartley to this novel. The characters have attitude and so does Hartley. I love music and so this story was perfect for me. I laughed out loud several times. I found myself wearing a huge smile at the end.

Historia
Jeannette Walls grew up with parents whose ideals and stubborn nonconformity were both their curse and their salvation. Rex and Rose Mary Walls had four children. In the beginning, they lived like nomads, moving among Southwest desert towns, camping in the mountains. Rex was a charismatic, brilliant man who, when sober, captured his children's imagination. Rose Mary painted and wrote and couldn't stand the responsibility of providing for her family; she called herself an "excitement addict."

Now I know why Dean Koontz is so popular. This is the first book I've listened to by him and it had everything I was looking for: unique characters, suspense and excellent writing. David Aaron Baker gives a great performance - very easy to listen to.

Revisado: 01-24-16
The role of the girl represents the creative part of this story. The other characters were also well done. I am glad I listened even though I don't normally gravitate to this kind of story. The reviews steered me towards giving it a try.

Well done!
Revisado: 10-10-15
I am very very satisfied with how the author carried on Larsson's story. The style is similar including the spirit of the characters. Naturally Simon Vance gives that sense of continuity with the previous books. Also, I appreciate the lessor amount of violence because I want to focus on the mystery and how it unfolds.

Excellant narrator, practical examples

The narrator is very easy to listen to and emphasizes the encouragement as if a mentor is empowering you. Almost every chapter contains practical and realistic examples. This book is as motivating and interesting as its title.
