Just as good as The Terminal List!!!!
Revisado: 08-08-24
But by far my favorite book in the series!
Why?
Real-world issues are addressed (China, A.I., Election Fraud, Deep State politics, evolving military capabilty/strategy, etc.). Jimmy Reece finds God, forgiveness, absolution, anonymity, hope, and becomes the best version of himself!
Very well wrapped up Mr. Carr! It's been a pleasure reading/listening to all these books! Would love to have them signed one day!
Looking forward to whatever direction your writing journey evolves into next!
Thank you, Sir!

Historia
Everything he learned to protect the president, he must use to take out theirs. With an American president distracted by growing tensions in North Korea and Iran, an ominous new threat is emerging in Moscow. A czar is rising in the Kremlin, a Russian president feverishly consolidating power, silencing his opposition, and plotting a brazen and lightning-fast military strike that could rupture the NATO alliance and bring Washington and Moscow to the brink of nuclear war. But in his blind spot is the former U.S. Secret Service agent, Marcus Ryker.

ROSENBERG IS THE TOM CLANCY OF OUR TIME BUT BETTER
Revisado: 10-20-21
Tom Clancy and Jack Carr are my two favorite contemporary political fiction authors..... but Joel Roseberg is a step above them both.
Clancy paints epic broad strokes geo-political military/spec-ops thrillers, and Carr painstakingly etches up close and personal spec-ops narratives. Rosenberg does them both - although on a smaller scale than Clancy, and less dark and gritty than Carr.
The protagonist of these books is a genuinely likeable person more easily related to than the lofty pedestals of the likes of Jack Ryan, John Clark, and James Reece. He's not your average Joe blow by any stretch of the imagination, but he's a guy you could have a real conversation with.... for sure. He's not a neo-capitalist millionaire, President of the United States, or a top performing Navy SEAL, but you can bet he is a true American Hero nonetheless. He's the type of guy that many of us know or have met.
These books are not just contemporary joy rides, but histocentric, futurecentric, and mildly prophetic in nature. They STRONGLY pertain to the current geo-political landscape with a faith-based and action-based twist. I've only read one of his books so far, but it's enough to know that IT'S TIME FOR ROUND TWO!!!

Every Journalist Should Read This Story
Revisado: 10-05-21
A book about the not so fine art of following one's conscience - honestly, thoroughly, and to it's end for the noble purposes of truth.
Frank Peretti skillfully weaves this modern tale in such a way as to embolden the listener to fearlessly follow the gentle dictates of their own conscience - and draw closer to God in the process.

A very good series. Very faith building.
Revisado: 05-18-21
Great speculative stories about the experience of going through the last days. Great to listen to. Faith building to say the least. Lots of practical "prepping" ideas along with solid biblical teaching. Entertaining fictional dramatization.
One criticism. They are short stories. Not worth the value of the sale price or a monthly Audible credit. The books of the second series should be grouped together in 2s or 3s like the first series. There are MANY other books out there that are 15-50 hours for the same price as one of these 6 hour books. Not really a fair price. Tom Clancy books are 20-50 hours, just as well written - same price. Frank Peretti books are longer and just as meaningful to a faith-based listener.

INSIDE THE SAVAGE SON
Revisado: 04-22-20
Jack Carr and Ray Porter deliver yet another exciting, spine-tingling, high-energy, thrilling ride inside the mind of a Navy SEAL who has been betrayed, decimated, and made into a scapegoat by his own government. This book builds on the 2 other books before it, so READ THE OTHER BOOKS FIRST - trust me, you'll be glad you did.
This is a story about Family, Loyalty, Honor, Commitment, Grit, Determination, and Resolution. Another worthy read/listen from Jack Carr!
Thanks for writing these Jack! For some of us, this will be the closest we get to every experiencing what it's like to be a Navy SEAL! Will be eagerly awaiting the next installment! Don't let me down!

Revisado: 09-04-19
I am REALLY enjoying these new books by Jack Carr! This was a great book in the 2nd of his series, but was not quite as epic or raw as his first. Still..... it's an awesome thing to hear a James Bond/Mission Impossible story from the Imagination of a Navy SEAL... With honor amd sacrifice thrown in!
Thank you Jack! Thank you Sir!

Historia
The only possible thing that could make Morgan's world even more difficult happened. The Japanese fleet off the coast of California was wiped out. An even that Morgan and friends and family only knew about because of the radio broadcasts from the Radio Free Redoubt. So far removed from them it barely warranted notice. That is until the Chinese retaliated by launching a nuclear counter-strike against Mac Dill Air Force base. This, did warrant their attention and had the potential to profoundly impact their lives.

Dr Jordan Peterson's 12 Rules for Life, is one of the most influential books that I've read. There's a lot of practical advice in this book around perspective and worldview, that people who do not have the luxury of two functional parents will garner great value from.

Historia
In a fast-paced and action-packed narrative, Navy SEAL commander Rorke Denver tackles the questions that have emerged about America's past decade at war - from what makes a hero to why we fight and what it does to us. Heroes are not always the guys who jump on grenades. Sometimes, they are the snipers who decide to hold their fire, the wounded operators who find fresh ways to contribute, or the wives who keep the families together back home.

An insightful worldview from a Navy SEAL!
Revisado: 03-02-17
An intuitive and thoughtful meditation on National pride, loyalty, sacrifice, functional change, and necessary paradigm shifts for those interested in realizing and working toward the essential transformation and survival of the United States of America. Not for those limited by self-imposed and short-sighted points of view, or those who want to sacrifice nothing for the betterment of their country. The internal philosohical ponderings of an accomplished and experienced veteran Navy SEAL on what makes America great, how to be a hero, who our heros really are, and what is necessary for the growth of our great country.
