I couldn't make it past the 2nd chapter of the audio version. I really want to read this story, I just can't do it with this narrator.
I'll buy the book and read it myself. I'm looking forward to it.

I love this narrator but I couldn't get past the first few chapters. I don't know if zombies were in the book or not.
I'll give the author this; He created some hate-able characters. They were so depraved I had to stop listening.
I wish I'd saved the credit.

This is a collection of short stories with the same characters in the same world. I would have preferred a single story.

This series is fast paced. The story is a pretty awesome departure from the paranormal fiction you see everyday. Bravo Seth. I want to meet every single weapon and their protectors. I want to see the Valducans win.

What made the experience of listening to Obsidian Son the most enjoyable?
Good story line.
What didn’t you like about Marcio Catalano’s performance?
This was the hard part. I couldn't immerse myself in the story because I critiqued the narration the entire time, wishing I was just reading it myself.
I don't think his voice fit the characters IMO.
Any additional comments?
I feel bad critiquing the narrator. He has a good voice. His cadence was off and I imagined Gunner's voice deeper, not so surfer doofus?
Anyway. I'll be reading this series, it's a good story.

There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Would you consider the audio edition of 14 to be better than the print version?
No. They're 2 different mediums. 2 separate experiences. Both thoroughly enjoyable.
What about Ray Porter’s performance did you like?
He drew me in. I was so invested in this story, I couldn't drive and listen at the same time.

I recommend this book to everyone I know.
