Historia
The shocking murder of Sir Henry Claybourne leaves Regency London shaken and horror-struck. But for genteel spinster Miss Emmeline St. Germaine, the crime slices far too close to home. Just hours before the knight's death she held a dagger to him, threatening him to stay silent as she rescued a scullery maid he had procured for his pleasure. Did the man - or woman - who murdered the knight know of her visit? Her secret identity at risk, her reputation and life in jeopardy, Emmeline must solve the crime or face scandalous exposure and ruination for a crime she did not commit.

Quite with three hours to finish. Tired of being preached to. Characters two dimensional. Love interest flat

Revisado: 11-19-21
This book ends before we know who did it. It just ends in the middle of the plot. Guess I m expected to read the whole series Poorly done Stephanie. And shame in Amazon for not including this detail in the description. Will never read another of her books

Disappointed in this story. Did not finish as I got tired of the bullying police and irritating voices. I’ve enjoyed the series up til now but did not even finish this one

Everyone yelling
Revisado: 11-26-19
Amanda quick was great as usual. The performance I found very distracting and irritating. The dialogue was read as if every was yelling their lines. Not your usual standards Audible.
