Better Gav Thorpe book on a cool character
Revisado: 03-17-25
I'm not a big fan of gav thorpe I think he is one of the weakest authors of Warhammer I've read so far but this one was a welcome surprise of good. Helps that the character Corvus Corax is a cool space batman. Story is fine and flows better than anything else Ive read by Thorpe with some good moments. Gareth Armstrong has been a fine narrator but listening to him for several books now its more apparent that he has some flaws. I still like him and can listen to him just fine but he's out of the list of top narrators for me. Johnathan Keeble and Toby Longsworth stand at the top where Gareth can't reach

Historia
Now that news of Horus' treachery is in the open, a time of testing has come. Some Legions have already declared their allegiance to the Warmaster while the loyalty of others lies firmly with the Emperor. As Horus deploys his forces, loyalist Astartes learn that a massive Wordbearers fleet is heading to Ultramar, home of the Ultramarines. Unless they can intercept the fleet, and destroy the mighty battleship that has been sent to reinforce it, the Ultramarines may suffer a blow from which they will never recover.

Hell on Vraks
Revisado: 12-16-24
The krieg lay siege to the planet Vraks which over the course of many years leads to the death of millions and the appearance of monsters, daemons and nightmares from the warp. The death korps are only human or are they for how can such daemonic forces be combated my mere humans. Performance by narrator is top tier and the story feels written by a WW1 history buff. Good book and good listen

Fantastic across the board. Loved the story and learning more of the dark angels and lion ep Johnson. A step back from the Horus heresy but dang what a good time, and if you are a dark angels fan you will love the book.

spy Intrigue and a thriller
Revisado: 12-06-24
after reading the siege of terra first and not knowing John grammaticus to now see his entry in the series. he has become more interesting to me. the book is a look into the alpha legion and more a look at the twin primarchs of the legion. New players enter the scene. Narrator was decent and I'd say this book is mid tier quality. Another decent HH book

brilliant writing and excellent voice acting. overall the siege of terra series is a masterpiece. the only negative for me was "the first wall" by gav Thorpe, that book was awful. the rest though are top tier sci Fi, top tier Warhammer and top tier story telling. Well done to everyone involved other than gav Thorpe, wtf gav.

Terra is besieged. The outcome of the war lies on a knife edge. The Warmaster Horus’ bloody seven-year crusade has led to this – the cradle of humanity, where he is to kill his father, the Emperor. With the war at this critical juncture, Sanguinius, primarch of the loyalist Blood Angels, braves the horrors of the Warmaster’s flagship, The Vengeful Spirit, with a single purpose in mind – to slay his brother Horus, decapitate the Heresy once and for all, and stop the forces of Chaos from taking Terra.

Revisado: 02-13-24
The first half is slow but it picks up about halfway through and ends very well. If you have really enjoyed the siege of terra series then you will very much enjoy this book as well. I put it mid to high in the series.Narrator is perfection.
