Rupert and the gang are back!
Revisado: 05-05-24
I was so excited to discover yet another entertaining installment of the Rutshire Chronicles by Jilly Cooper! I never expected to read another book in this series, so I was pleasantly surprised to find it on Audible. If you have read the first 10 books in the series, you will be well acquainted with most of the characters, but be prepared to meet a new ensemble of characters in the form of a ragtag football (American soccer) team that needs both emotional and financial support from Rupert Campbell-Black, of all people. It is so wonderful to see characters evolve over the last several decades and watch RCB become a grandfather again and again. I sincerely hope this is not the end of this series, Jilly, please write 10 more!

Psychologist Margot Scott has a picture-perfect life: a nice house in the suburbs, a husband, two children and a successful career. On a warm spring morning Margot approaches one of her clients on a busy train platform. He is looking down at his phone, with his duffel bag in hand as the train approaches. That’s when she slams into his back and he falls in front of the train. Margot’s clients all lie to her, but one lie cost her family and freedom.

Interesting and suspenseful
Revisado: 07-02-21
I thoroughly enjoyed this book that was included for free with my audible subscription. I was actually impressed with the quality of a “free” audiobook, I wasn’t expecting much. This book was very suspenseful with a twist at the end, just how I like my thrillers. The narrator also did a great job with British and Irish accents, both sounded totally authentic.

Historia
A young, naïve but ultimately courageous hedge knight, Ser Duncan the Tall towers above his rivals—in stature if not experience. Tagging along is his diminutive squire, a boy called Egg—whose true name is hidden from all he and Dunk encounter. Though more improbable heroes may not be found in all of Westeros, great destinies lay ahead for these two . . . as do powerful foes, royal intrigue, and outrageous exploits. Featuring more than 160 all-new illustrations by Gary Gianni, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is a must-have collection that proves chivalry isn’t dead—yet.

Great Prequel to the GoT series
Revisado: 10-14-17
This is a great prequel for people who have read Game of Thrones. Harry Lloyd does an excellent job as the narrator, which was a challenging role to fill after Roy Dautrice narrated all of the other books in the series. It is more of a historical vignette in comparison with the other Game of Thrones books, but a really fun and informative read all the same.
