Historia
All across the world, people suddenly vanish in the blink of an eye. From their cars during the rush hour commute. From shopping malls. Their homes. Their beds. Even from the arms of their loved ones. Airline pilots. World leaders. Teachers. Parents. Children. Gone. Steve, Charlie, and Frank were just trying to get home when it happened. Now they find themselves left behind and wishing they'd disappeared, too.

Pretty good short story
Revisado: 01-10-22
I enjoyed this audiobook. I like Brian Keene's writing style and Chet Williamson's narration. I've never read any stories about the rapture before and I enjoyed this one, too bad it was so short.

Historia
Welcome to Derry, Maine. It’s a small city, a place as hauntingly familiar as your own hometown. Only in Derry the haunting is real. They were seven teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. Now they are grown-up men and women who have gone out into the big world to gain success and happiness. But the promise they made 28 years ago calls them reunite in the same place where, as teenagers, they battled an evil creature that preyed on the city’s children.

Children beat supreme evil by holding hands...dumb
Revisado: 01-08-19
This story starts out strong and gets more and more dumb with stupid children hold hands over-powering a timeless, all-powerful, evil cosmic force by holding hands and outsmarting "It" time and again with their 11 year old intellects and "friendship power", with the aid of a space turtle who says "I don't involve myself in such matters" when begged for help even though the turtle clearly and openly helps them throughout the entire story... Book is full of logic problems, plot holes and inconsistencies such as this. I wish I could have the credit I used and the time back I spent listening to this garbage story.

Historia
A strange plague called the "Gets" is decimating humanity on a global scale. It causes people to forget - small things at first, like where they left their keys... then the not-so-small things like how to drive, or the letters of the alphabet. Then their bodies forget how to function involuntarily - and there is no cure. But now, far below the surface of the Pacific Ocean, deep in the Marianas Trench, an heretofore unknown substance hailed as "ambrosia" has been discovered - a universal healer, from initial reports.

Creepy and Disturbing.
Revisado: 11-24-18
I enjoyed The Deep. It has elements of Stephen King's "The Shining" and "It", Clive Barker's "The Hellbound Heart", and John Carpenter's movie "The Thing" (1982).

Historia
Frank Cotton's insatiable appetite for the dark pleasures of pain led him to the puzzle of Lemarchand's box, and from there, to a death only a sick-minded soul could invent. But his brother's love-crazed wife, Julia, has discovered a way to bring Frank back - though the price will be bloody and terrible...and there will certainly be hell to pay.

Better than the movie.
Revisado: 03-18-18
Better than the movie. The cenobites are different than those shown in the movie, I still don't really know much about The Engineer though.
