Historia
From 1999 to 2009, U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle recorded the most career sniper kills in United States military history. The Pentagon has officially confirmed more than 150 of Kyles kills (the previous American record was 109), but it has declined to verify the astonishing total number for this book. Iraqi insurgents feared Kyle so much they named him al-Shaitan ("the devil") and placed a bounty on his head.

I loved Chris Kyle's view on most matters. I couldn't and wouldn't have done the things he has done, but I highly appreciate that there are people out there who kill all those who need to be killed in order to make this world a better place.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

The best book I have read in the past 30 years
Revisado: 03-31-16
If you could sum up 11-22-63 in three words, what would they be?
The headline says it all. I just love this book.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Sadie Dunhill. I found it fascinating how she accepted the idea of time travel without hesitation.
What does Craig Wasson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
His voice somehow created the atmosphere of the fifties/sixties. I was also reading the book on my Kindle, but just reading did not give me the same feeling.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes.
Any additional comments?
This book gave me so many insights on so many levels, that I am truly grateful for the experience. It was like real time travel for me.

Historia
Welcome to Derry, Maine. It’s a small city, a place as hauntingly familiar as your own hometown. Only in Derry the haunting is real. They were seven teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. Now they are grown-up men and women who have gone out into the big world to gain success and happiness. But the promise they made 28 years ago calls them reunite in the same place where, as teenagers, they battled an evil creature that preyed on the city’s children.

How could I have lived without It until now?!
Revisado: 03-31-16
Would you consider the audio edition of It to be better than the print version?
In general I do not like horror stories and I do not like long books, either, but this one is so well written, each character is so excitingly elaborated, the thought patterns of both children and adults are so brilliantly described that I couldn't stop listening to It (and also reading It on my Kindle with Whispersync) until finished.
What other book might you compare It to and why?
11.22.63 also from Stephen King. This was the book that lead me to It. When I learned that the Derry mentioned in 11.22.63 is the scene of the major plot in It, I instantly decided to read/listen to It, too.
What does Steven Weber bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I loved the way he enacted the cries of the characters and the stutter of Bill.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
The magic is in you, even if you do not remember.

What did you love best about Moonwalking with Einstein?
It provided specific hints and advice how to follow the author's path and use the same memory techniques, while it was also enjoyable to read due to the background story, the quoted historic material and also due to the interesting cases (savants, autistic people, persons with extraordinary memory, etc.).

Historia
If you've ever desperately wanted to memorize poetry but absolutely hate the slings and arrows, the sound and the fury of repeating the same lines hundreds of times until they've become more annoying than beautiful, then this may be the most important audiobook you will ever listen to. Believe it or not, it doesn't matter if you have a good memory or not. Frankly, if you can memorize a short email address or the name of a movie, then you can use this system to memorize poems as short as a sonnet or as long as an epic. But there's really no time to lose.

Misleading title
Revisado: 07-13-15
What would have made How to Learn & Memorize Legal Terminology better?
Instead of selling the same general memory palace again, saying something that is specifically related to memorizing the law.
Has How to Learn & Memorize Legal Terminology turned you off from other books in this genre?
No
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The general idea of building a memory palace was good, but it contained much of the same material explained in the author's another book which I had listened to previously.

Historia
At more than a hundred feet deep in the frigid Gulf of St. Lawrence, diving the Empress is like trying to navigate an unfamiliar sixty-story building lying on its side at a forty-five-degree angle, in pitch blackness with only a flashlight. In Dark Descent, Kevin McMurray takes us deep into the bowels of the lost ship, first to relive her tragic death and then to join the divers who have probed the wreck's secrets. It's an adventure from which some divers don't return.

Tragedy & idiotism
Revisado: 09-18-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Dark Descent to be better than the print version?
Yes
What was one of the most memorable moments of Dark Descent?
The description of how the Empress of Ireland went down in just a few minutes
What about Michael Prichard’s performance did you like?
Couldn't specify.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No
Any additional comments?
It was exciting to hear about the tragedy of the Empress of Ireland and how unexpectedly and extremely quickly it all happened. The fact that such a huge "underwater world" is still buried down there but is accessible to divers really moved my phantasy. However, I was astonished to hear about the actions of the divers portrayed in the book. Respect for the diver who died in 1914, but the actions of all the others described in the book (both the ones who died and the ones who survived) are a proof of their recklessness and complete lack of common sense. No wonder there have been so many fatalities and these should not be blamed on the circumstances.

The way to learn all languages on Earth
Revisado: 08-13-10
Since my childhood I have had to study several foreign languages. By now I speak fluently two languages in addition to my mother tounge, and can also speak some of a third language, so I can say that I know much about learning foreign languages. This method, however, is the easyest and fastest I have ever tried, giving me the advantage to begin from the fist words with an almost native accent, which is something you do not usually get if you go to a language school.

There just isn't enough time for everything on our to-do list - and there never will be. Successful people don't try to do everything. They learn to focus on the most important tasks and make sure those get done. They eat their frogs. There's an old saying that if the first thing you do each morning is eat a live frog, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you're done with the worst thing you'll have to do all day. For Tracy, eating a frog is a metaphor for tackling your most challenging task - but also the one that can have the greatest positive impact on your life.
