A worthy listen for all.
Revisado: 08-14-24
This audiobook is one all people could benefit from because it is so short and so filled with impersonal, collected information about the nature of duality within the human experience. I feel a kinship with the author because most everything stated here is something I agree with or acknowledge as a truth on some level. What benefitted me was listening and somewhat zoning out as a sort of pasta-on-the-wall mindset to allow my mind to achieve epiphany amongst the data. Since the epiphany was inspired by a shared experience with the author I will share it here instead of making it a part of the book I wrote and am now transcribing to my computer: We talk so often about hitting bottom as if there are levels of beinghood we either can ascend or descend into. I would counter that the depths one ventures down in order to see the light is not a depth we ever climb out of..we simply learn to create anew from that space with all the resources therein. Hahahah! There is courage and reason in falling, so long as we survive the impact. I want to hear more from this author, but I feel this effort is not a culmination of their work yet only the beginning. The strongest aspect is at the tale's end..and I can feel the desire for alchemy throughout all the informative, objective portions..which are so well informed but so lacking of personal alchemy. It is fitting that the audiobook was read by an android and I felt so often throughout my listening experience like I was in the company of an artificial intelligence explaining to me the nature of duality in the human experience. The information provided is so compacted that there's little breathing room to contemplate and that's why I started zoning out..only to reflect upon my own experiences and embrace a different way of understanding the meaning of my own human trials. We have all the information available to us that would enable our positive change if only we could relate to it im a meaningful way. I think this author has a wealth of storytelling of personal growth as well as a love for well organized information and yet they chose to not integrate the two into one. The pace could be slowed down a bit with some humanity and heart in-between the core concepts..and it would allow the listener more breathing room to grasp everything that is being explained as well as assist us in making our own connections with the material as it relates to our own life experiences. I reassert that everyone would benefit from listening to this audiobook and revisiting it even but perhaps only minutes at a time..with self reflections in-between..and as a criticism those breathing spaces could've been provided. I'd like to thank the author for taking me to school on duality and I will absolutely be listening to everything else they contribute.

Historia
Before cell phones that fit in the palm of your hand and slim laptops that fit snugly into briefcases, computers were like strange, alien vending machines. They had cryptic switches, punch cards, and pages of encoded output. But in 1975, a young engineering wizard named Steve Wozniak had an idea: What if you combined computer circuitry with a regular typewriter keyboard and a video screen?

Truly inspiring
Revisado: 03-24-23
The narrator captured the energy of the man and beyond the interesting nature of the tale there was clearly heart behind this material. Even though I have no engineering background I appreciated every aspect of this audio book and particularly towards the end I realized how much I have in common with this man. I hope all beings feel inspired to live their purpose passionately.

Historia
Ernest Hemingway said, “All modern American literature comes from one book by Mark Twain called Huckleberry Finn". One hundred years after its author’s death, this classic remains remarkably modern and poignantly relevant. In this new edition, Elijah Wood reads Huck in a youthful voice that may be the closest interpretation to Twain’s original intent. His performance captures the excitement and confusion of adolescence and adventure.

I’d happily restart it right now!
Revisado: 03-15-23
It took me awhile to get into the narration style but the story swept me away with itself and only sort of petered out on me towards the end…but that last 40 minutes was magical to me same as with Adventures of Tom Sawyer. I’m just going to keep plugging away at Mark Twain books because they are gold.

Historia
A natural storyteller and raconteur in his own right - just listen to Paddle Your Own Canoe and Gumption - actor, comedian, carpenter, and all-around manly man Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) brings his distinctive baritone and a fine-tuned comic versatility to Twain's writing. In a knockout performance, he doesn't so much as read Twain's words as he does rejoice in them, delighting in the hijinks of Tom - whom he lovingly refers to as a "great scam artist" and "true American hero".

Listening to this audiobook and this performance of this novel was such a wonderful blessing to my life. I feel hopeful in knowing there are worlds out there I haven’t dared dip my “sore toe” in yet and and by God I will all of them deemed worthy.

Everybody loves scary stories, and nobody loves them more than children. Storytellers Richard and Judy Dockery Young gathered these stories from the most discerning of critics: the children themselves. These are the tales kids tell most often and most often ask to be told.

Historia
Fletch, now newly engaged and happily living out his days in Italy, finds himself embroiled in yet another scandal. His soon-to-be father-in-law has been kidnapped and is now presumed dead, and the priceless collection of rare art that belongs to his fiancée’s family has been stolen. Ever the investigative reporter, he receives a tip about the missing art that lands him in Boston, where he walks right into a murder scene in his apartment. What clearly looks like a setup to the unfazed Fletch looks quite different to the detective assigned to the case, Mr. Francis Xavier Flynn.

Historia
The acidly funny first book starring the subversive sleuth in one of the most successful mystery series of all time. Fletch is an investigative reporter whose methods are a little unorthodox. Currently he's living on the beach. He's taking more than a little flak from his editor. She doesn't appreciate his style. Or the expense account items he's racking up. Or his definition of the word "deadline". Or the divorce lawyers who keep showing up at the office. So when multimillionaire Alan Stanwyk offers Fletch the job of a lifetime, which could be worth a fortune, he's intrigued.

Ease into it.
Revisado: 03-03-23
In the beginning I felt Fletch was difficult to get along with but as the story progressed I really warmed up to his character…or maybe it’s just that his character is a little rough in the intro and smoothed out as the story takes over. Stick with it and enjoy the ride.

A Lot of Entertainment
Revisado: 06-09-22
I found this audiobook while in Sedona traveling ‘cross country and it felt like such a breath of fresh air…mentally. So many hours of high quality storytelling…and although Act II had some groaner storylines I gotta say I’m eager for the third installment. So many cameos and strong talents. Worth it and then some.
