factually I'm sure it's fine. I just couldn't shake my discomfort with the rosiness of how the facts were presented. his love for Biden is obvious but i was looking for something a little more objective.

Decent book about a strange time in musical history. The male narrator was better than I expected except for some bizarre name pronunciations. The female narrator was indistinguishable from a robot. The stories were well-trodden ground by this point and I think your enjoyment will be determined by your tolerance for non-stop debauchery and swearing.

I agree with so many others who point out how bad the narration is. It is so monotone that it takes you out of the story. I zoned out for entire stretches. Maybe this book is not Michael Lewis' best (that would be the Blind Side) but I had a hard time staying engaged and I really believe it was the reader's fault.

kind of boring and rambling. more a series of one liners than any kind of narrative. hard to follow. as sad as it is, it doesn't really get interesting until the end when he talks about his family tragedy. I would definitely pass on this for all but the most hard-core fans.

This is the 3rd Jack Reacher book I've read in a row and I keep waiting for them to get better. I have been going on faith so far since there's so many of them. I figured, they have to get better, right? See? now I'm even writing like Lee Child. If you're looking for mindless entertainment, I suppose these books are fine, but coming off the infinitely superior Bosch series, I was hoping for much more.
