i feel like bad reviews don't always need fifteen words. I just didn't like the story, the characters, the main character, I didn't like the premise; the whole thing was just not fit for distribution.

man's voice

the inner monologue could be a grown man's voice I get it... but when he's speaking to others it should come out high pitched and tinny like a child. it bothers me because it could have been one of the best parts of this book.

tbh... I would probably give it 4 stars but pirate Abba gives us twice the book and has originality somewhat so you get em all.

it follows the basic premises of these books but the characters have a bit of depth. at least more than most of these books give their characters.

I forgot how annoying the love interest is

I hate when I forget how much I dislike a character in the book and get the next only to be reminded immediately. every time the main character gets attached to someone, the whole story revolves around their stupid "love". it really makes for a bland story and I can't listen to the rest of the dumb snake woman anymore.

why does she sound like that?

it was very tropey and kinda average. the MC isn't overpowered though so I like that. the one big thing is the love interest... she's supposed to be pretty. I can imagine a lot, but I cannot image an attractive woman that sounds like the way it's read. honestly, a woman with a voice like that would probably be built like a man and that's cool if that's what the MC prefers but I can't tell and it's messing with me.

I'm sick of these stories always being so sentimental n stuff. it gets old. all my favorites are numb/ loners. maybe I'm psychotic but I find that stuff annoying. also, the narrator sounds like he yells 90% of his characters. it's uncomfortable.
