I started this set out as the author suggested by reading book 21 and then going back to book one at the end. Book number one really is the prequel to the series the Assassin. I loved the series as you watch El Ray become a hero to those less fortunate. The series definitely left you wanting more, Action packed.

Well, not as action packed as the first book of the series, you started to develop a clear understanding of who Cory is. He starts to pull his life together and his figuring out that people will definitely try to take advantage of those who have had early success.

This series was quite different from other Dan Petrosini books. Corycertainly does come up with a dilemma that almost drives you crazy. He’s making decisions that are shooting from the hip rather than using logic and reasoning. But as the book develops, you start to feel sorry for Cory, as he was most likely young and naïve about the workings of the world. Not knowing what it’s like to be a musician, and in the fast-paced world of music, it leads you to understand that sometimes a hidden talent is not always a positive experience.

This so far is one of my favorites from Dan Petrosini. It had wonderful twists, and I really like the way the murder was finally solved with a single piece of evidence that most people would’ve never thought of.
