One of my top ten favorite books.

I’ve listened to this audio book several times. Brilliant writer. Deep rich description, you can smell the beach & hear the waves, and strong engaging characters. So easy to get lost in the journey of the novel. I did read a negative review that surprised me.. The author is Canadian & there is a difference between US, UK, Canadian humor.
I love this book & highly recommend.

Unpopular opinion: The book is not good.

Love the podcast, shocked I can't stand the book. Didn't even get through a few chapters before I had to stop. Not because of the content, but the way the story is written and the way the book is read. I thought the intro was painfully cliche, which only kicked off more poor writing. And certain words were embellished in a way that made the flow of the story awkward.
I listen to the podcast weekly, I love the podcast and the cohosts. Very sad by how disappointing the book was. I will continue to listen to the podcast.

This book took me on a journey I didn’t want to end. No words I can muster would do this book justice .
The narrator, Aiden Kelly, exceptional. I could listen to his voice all day, everyday, forever.
