Re-read worthy!
Revisado: 09-26-23
I had read the series when I was about 12 years old, but saw it was a free credit on Audible… even 15 years later it’s still such a great read.

Do you enjoy drama? Like lots of drama? Or perhaps, crime? What about mystery with a twist? Listen to the preview clip and see if it intrigues your mind. It did me and I absolutely loved every minute of this thrilling story. Worth the credit!

SO GOOD
Revisado: 02-22-23
I’m so tempted to walk through the halls of the office telling everyone, if they’re going to read anything of Colleen Hoover, read this one. I haven’t read anything else of hers but this… this is top of my favorite books list. The twists, the turns, the characters that she makes you love and hate is so beautifully written. I couldn’t stop listening. The two narrators did fantastic and really, I’m glad there are two to distinguish between the mcs.

Historia
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.

Great Story
Revisado: 10-27-22
It’s a bit of a slow burn in the beginning and picks up about half way, allowing the reader to build a foundation with the characters. The story is excellent, the ending satisfying. Albeit interesting, the one thing I have to nitpick is the storytelling from two separate characters, one of which I find unnecessary to the main characters story. It is an interesting way to solidify the antagonist. The secondary character only tells the story in a select few chapters so its not a deal breaker for me.

Historia
Fresh out of rehab, Mallory Quinn takes a job as a babysitter for Ted and Caroline Maxwell. She is to look after their five-year-old son, Teddy. Mallory immediately loves it. She has her own living space, goes out for nightly runs, and has the stability she craves. And she sincerely bonds with Teddy, a sweet, shy boy who is never without his sketchbook and pencil. His drawings are the usual fare: trees, rabbits, balloons. But one day, he draws something different: a man in a forest, dragging a woman’s lifeless body.

Getting into the Halloween spirit with this read
Revisado: 09-27-22
Sometimes it’s a bit tough knowing what book to get with the audible credits. I listened to the sample and thought this had a good feel to it to get into the Halloween spirit. And boy was I right! It’s a great story and narration. I did not expect the twist at the end, which made it so much better.

Two thumbs up!
Revisado: 04-22-22
I really loved the story. It was a bit predictable figuring out the “main antagonist.” HOWEVER, there was a twist at the very end that really made the story so much better. Thinking about it now, I don’t know why I didn’t get the subtleties that were sprinkled into the earlier chapters. The narrator did a fantastic job. Overall it was a really good book to get me though my work day!

Historia
In this deeply scary and intensely unnerving debut novel, Jake and a woman known only as "The Girlfriend" are on a drive to visit his parents at their secluded farm. But when Jake leaves "The Girlfriend" stranded at an abandoned high school, what follows is a twisted unraveling of the darkest unease, an exploration into psychological frailty, and an ending as suspenseful as The Usual Suspects and as haunting as Misery.

I’m thinking of writing a review
Revisado: 03-17-22
I had heard some negative reviews about the movie that accompanied this so going into the book I didn’t have any expectations. Usually the book is 10x better than the movie adaptions anyway.
It is really well written and I love the twist at the end. I’m a huge fan of psychological thrillers and this is probably in my top 10. I’d say this is a must read, even if you hated the movie, because we all know the movies don’t capture the full story. 😜

Superstar comedian and Hollywood box-office star Kevin Hart turns his immense talent to the written word by writing some words. Some of those words include: the, a, for, above, and even even. Put them together and you have the funniest, most heartfelt, and most inspirational memoir on survival, success, and the importance of believing in yourself since Old Yeller.

Better than the Book
Revisado: 12-16-19
If you are a Kevin Hart fan... who am I kidding if you’re looking into this you’re definitely a Kevin Hart fan. Get this!
I was gifted a signed copy of the book a few holidays back but never really had the time to sit down and read it cover to cover. I decided I definitely wanted to get into his work and what better way to do it than listen to him read it!
I was a bit curious to see if he read it line by line or added commentary. As I was following him in the book I smiled ear to ear... He adds commentary.... and it is hilarious as it is great advice of life lessons.
Hey you, get this. You will not be disappointed.
