Historia
Feeling dissatisfied with her office job and her “stationary home,” in 2016 Noami Grevemberg took a bold step. She quit her job, sold her belongings, and set out in her 1985 VW Vanagon to pursue a life of simplicity and travel with her husband and German Shepherd by her side. In her years living fulltime on the road, Noami has become an expert in the many aspects of vanlife. In her book Living the Vanlife, she digs into all aspects of the lifestyle, from getting over the uncomfortable feeling of uncertainty, to creating a sustainable, thriving life of adventure.

I’m bummed. I just finished my first book on van life and I was excited for this book, instead, I had to wade through all the virtue signaling, special pronouns, and activism.

I liked the candidness and natural insight when the author addressed some of not so pretty things about living in a vehicle.

Historia
Every leader must be ready and willing to take charge, to make hard, crucial calls for the good of the team and the mission. Something much more difficult to understand is that in order to be a good leader, one must also be a good follower. This is a dichotomy - a Dichotomy of Leadership. It is, as authors Jocko Willink and Leif Babin explained in their best-selling first audiobook, Extreme Ownership, “Simple, Not Easy”.

Historia
Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell returned from his star-crossed mission in Afghanistan with his bones shattered and his heart broken. So many had given their lives to save him-and he would have readily done the same for them. As he recuperated, he wondered why he and others, from America's founding to today, had been willing to sacrifice everything-including themselves-for the sake of family, nation, and freedom.

Enjoyed this thoroughly- In a time where our country is developing feminine men, we will continue to need patriotic personnel in the military to protect our freedoms and stand for those who can’t stand for themselves. This book pays homage to those who served and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for my freedom.

Historia
In Great Society, Shlaes offers a powerful companion to her legendary history of the 1930s, The Forgotten Man, and shows that in fact there was scant difference between two presidents we consider opposites: Johnson and Nixon. Just as technocratic military planning by "the Best and the Brightest" made failure in Vietnam inevitable, so planning by a team of the domestic best and brightest guaranteed fiasco at home. At once history and biography, Great Society sketches moving portraits of the characters in this transformative period.

Vast Information

Very in-depth knowledge and insight about the historical period. This book was not one you could read hours at a time. The content very over powering with information, that I personally had to take a break. I am very happy I chose this book and it helped me formulate a better understanding of the events surrounding our Country’s current situation.

The best President Reagan book to date. Great read and sad to see it end. Having served in the military during his Presidency, there was ZERO doubt he loved our Country. 1 year in with Jimmy Carter 2.0, I really am concerned that there will never be the American pride again.

Historia
With the end of the Cold War, the victory of liberal democracy was thought to be absolute. Observers declared the end of history, confident in a peaceful, globalized future. But we now know this to be premature. Authoritarianism first returned in Russia, as Putin developed a political system dedicated solely to the consolidation and exercise of power. In the last six years, it has creeped from east to west as nationalism inflames Europe, abetted by Russian propaganda and cyberwarfare.

Historia
In Wealth, Poverty, and Politics, Thomas Sowell, one of the foremost conservative public intellectuals in the country, argues that political and ideological struggles have led to dangerous confusion about income inequality in America. Pundits and politically motivated economists trumpet ambiguous statistics and sensational theories while ignoring the true determinant of income inequality: the production of wealth.

BRILLIANT
Revisado: 02-23-22
One of the leading minds of the 20th and 21st centuries. Sad thing is that Thomas Sowell’s words are only heard by open minds. This level of intelligence very rarely makes it’s way into public policy. Our policy makers are not scholars, they are bought and told how to think

Historia
In 2012, on his third tour of duty in Afghanistan, an improvised explosive device left Dan Crenshaw's right eye destroyed and his left blinded. Only through the careful hand of his surgeons, and what doctors called a miracle, did Crenshaw's left eye recover partial vision. And yet, he persevered, completing two more deployments. Why? There are certain stories we tell ourselves about the hardships we face—we can become paralyzed by adversity or we can adapt and overcome. We can be fragile or we can find our fortitude. Crenshaw delivers a set of lessons to help you do just that.
