Historia
Nadia Williams needs somewhere peaceful to sort through her grief after her mother is brutally murdered. She finds a cozy cabin at the side of a tranquil lake in the quaint town of Misted Pines in the Pacific Northwest. The minute she arrives, she knows it’s perfect. The very night of her arrival, however, someone—or something—is scratching at her window. The next morning, she meets her one and only neighbor, Doc Riggs. He’s a rough, good-time guy who rubs Nadia wrong immediately. They clash, and neither of them are happy to be sharing their lake.

Well, her voice is nice
Revisado: 07-11-24
The male narrator sounded like a 1940s radio personality. ALL THE TIME. If i was you, I'd have it recast.

Historia
I thought dying in prison was my only option… …then I was given a choice. I can either board an alien spaceship with 400 fellow criminals or rot in prison on a freezing Earth. The spacecraft's captain, a handsome alien who looks remarkably human, has been visiting me in my dreams for over a year. He has given me the companionship I need during my time locked up in solitary confinement, and the way he holds me in my mind makes me forget the Earth is on the brink of extinction. But was that nothing but my imagination? The alien in question doesn’t seem to know anything about the hours ...

Flip-flopped emotions, oh the angst
Revisado: 07-04-24
Well, it was ok. I have to say that main character's feelings flip-flopped so often, I got a bit dizzy. The virtual voice is limited in inflection and that wasn't great.

Excellent Characters and Character Development
Revisado: 12-30-22
Really enjoyed it! Not a fantasy romance where everything goes smoothly and predictably. Also, it highlights a very lessor known malady - ME, which my husband has. So glad someone highlighted this and showed how it changes the lives of families.

I've read a lot of Kristin Ashley. I like her style her themes her characters.. This one seemed a little like She was stretching in places just to make it longer. Still a good book.

Historia
On the evening of November 24, 1971, D. B. Cooper hijacked Flight 305—Portland to Seattle—with a fake bomb, collected a ransom of $200,000, and then parachuted from the rear of the plane, disappearing into the night...and into history. New Narrator Not So Great
Revisado: 10-13-21
Good book. Dabbles in Sci-fi. This narrator was ok in general but he COMPLETELY messed up the voice of Constance. Makes her sound 100 years old. Also, the sound mastering is way off. Some voices loud and others soft in the same scene so I was constantly turning the volume up and down.

Historia
Patricia Campbell's life has never felt smaller. Her ambitious husband is too busy to give her a goodbye kiss in the morning, her kids have their own lives, her senile mother-in-law needs constant care, and she's always a step behind on thank-you notes and her endless list of chores. The one thing she has to look forward to is her book club, a close-knit group of Charleston women united by their love of true crime and paperback fiction. At these meetings they're as likely to talk about the Manson family as they are marriage, motherhood, and neighborhood gossip.

Better than you think
Revisado: 03-01-21
When I selected this book I was looking for an easy read, something in a genre that I liked - vampires. As I read it though, it showed itself to be a multi-layered book with interesting characters. All together a good read.

Historia
When Edward Cullen and Bella Swan met in Twilight, an iconic love story was born. But until now, fans have heard only Bella's side of the story. At last, listeners can experience Edward's version in the long-awaited companion novel, Midnight Sun. This unforgettable tale as told through Edward's eyes takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. Meeting Bella is both the most unnerving and intriguing event he has experienced in all his years as a vampire.

Too many discrepancies
Revisado: 01-27-21
Although it has been a long time since I read the actual books (instead of watching the movies for story lines) I think she could have done a better job with dropping Edwards voice in the places we expected. Also, it is very long winded.

Good but verbose
Revisado: 09-12-20
Although the narrative moved well, some sections (especially the Fanning sections) were overly verbose, going on too long. All on all the hook is a fine ending to the trilogy.
