I don't write reviews, but I think you should skip this. it's pretty obviously a chat gpt generation. Extremely thin and repetitive. Honestly I'm a little angry and feel dumb that I wasted my time.

Revisado: 02-02-23
Packed with both specific information and big picture perspective, this will genuinely delight you if you're interested in the subject matter. I straight up loved it.
Also I saw one review bashing the politics, and they're a very small part of the work, and just the professor's perspective. Definitely do not skip it because you're afraid it'll be too woke. That aspect is a tiny part of a big work here, richly researched and engagingly delivered.

Historia

But a relatively short time later-only 100 million to 200 million years-the planet was teeming with primitive organisms. What happened? Now you can find out-in a series of 24 vibrant lectures from a leader of the NASA-supported team studying the origins of life in the universe and also one of the nation's foremost science educators.

False Advertising
Revisado: 01-28-23
Look, this is fine, but it's not a guide to improving your brain. It's general brain science, stuffed with anecdotal non sequiturs. You can find the tiny amount of specific advice it offers in a basic listicle that takes two minutes to read. This might be worth your time as a general intro to brain science, but IT IS NOT PRIMARILY ABOUT BRAIN IMPROVEMENT. The entire section on that is just one word: exercise.
I really like the Great Courses, but honestly I kind of resent this particular title, which pretty blatantly misrepresents the material.

Historia
The number one problem facing many high school students: They haven’t been taught how to learn. Because our current educational system focuses on test results, few students are deliberately taught about learning - about developing the particular mind-set and using the specific skills that can help them graduate with exemplary grades and an exemplary mind.

No Useful Adulting Ideas
Revisado: 01-26-23
I was hoping this might have some useful thoughts about learning as an adult, but it truly is just for young kids and their parents. I could see it being helpful in that context, but really only that context.
ALSO, it features way too many goofy sound effects. The constant boops, bings, and cat screams are astoundingly distracting.
