Historia
Welcome to Derry, Maine. It’s a small city, a place as hauntingly familiar as your own hometown. Only in Derry the haunting is real. They were seven teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. Now they are grown-up men and women who have gone out into the big world to gain success and happiness. But the promise they made 28 years ago calls them reunite in the same place where, as teenagers, they battled an evil creature that preyed on the city’s children.

Great performance! Good story!
Revisado: 11-28-21
The story definitely is disturbing at times, and has some odd tangents, but overall a great thriller. The narrator does an excellent enthused emotion filled performance.

Historia
Los Angeles, 1908. Ex-heiress Anna Blanc is precariously employed by the Los Angeles Police Department, reforming delinquent children and minding lady jailbirds. Badly. What she really wants is to trap criminals and be alone with the delicious Detective Joe Singer—both pursuits that could get her fired. If she loses her income, she’ll be on the street. While hunting truants in Griffith Park, Anna and Joe discover the body of a young John Doe. With Anna’s job on the line, Joe warns her away, but Anna can't resist. She's on the case.

Another great story!

What made the experience of listening to The Woman in the Camphor Trunk the most enjoyable?
This book grabs your attention from the very beginning and the twists and turns throughout the story are captivating. I also really enjoyed Moira Quirk as the voice. She really does a great job with all of the characters and fits perfectly for the voice of Anna. Great story with surprises throughout that make you want to keep listening.
Have you listened to any of Moira Quirk’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
It was great to have Moira back for this book as she did great with The Secret Lift of Anna Blanc. The continuity of voice made the story even better.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
This is a book you will want to keep listening to all the way to the end!
Any additional comments?
I highly recommend this book. I also enjoyed the end where the author explains which pieces of the book come from true events in history.

This is a great combination of music, sound effects, and variation of voices of the narrator.
