The story is really good and so is the narrator however, she was sitting too close to the microphone when recording so you can hear her breathe, swallow and make other mouth noises that are slightly disgusting.

Silly me, I thought this book was about dragons.

The author cannot go a single chapter without reminding us of how sexually attracted the main character is to her counterpart. on and on and on. I thought that when they finally had sex, she would shut up about it. But no, then we have to hear all about how much she loves having sex with this guy.
Oh, there’s some stuff about dragons and knives mixed in and the narrator was good.

Christina Moore is the perfect person to narrate Amish romance books. She’s absolutely perfect at it.
The book itself was alright, but after a while it seemed like the author was just trying to make her word quota. It’s the kind of book that you can skip a few chapters and not miss anything.

It was a good story and it held my attention but it was pretty simple and I was hoping for a bit more. It wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad either. Will Wheaton did a great job.

I got to chapter 9 and still had no idea what the plot was. It just drowned on and on without getting anywhere.

The stories were OK but she sort of rambled on about inconsequential things as if she was just trying to fill up space. Chapter after chapter of the same thing. I didn’t finish the last story because it was just too boring.

It was all right. The main characters fear and anxiety over every single thing got old. In fact I skipped a few chapters and didn’t miss a thing. It wasn’t great but it was free so I guess I can’t complain too much.

Ridiculous

SPOILER ALERT: it was difficult to like the main character. While listening to this book
I had to remind myself that this was a 27-year-old woman and not a 14 year old girl. The idea that an almost 30 year old woman who used to be a school teacher could be so naïve and straight up childish is just dumb.
And the complete turnaround of her mother as quickly as it happened was unbelievable and felt more like an afterthought than anything else. At the risk of sounding redundant by saying childish again and again, that’s exactly what this book is. Childish.
And the narrator did not improve it at all. I had to speed up the playback because she was slow, paused in all the wrong places and put emphasis where it shouldn’t have been.
