The characters in this murder mystery come to life so vividly that I could hardly stop listening. The depiction of life in the sultry town of Innocence, Mississippi was fascinating. One of the best narrators ever enhanced this multi-layered story to make it 5 stars on all counts.

The distinctive portrayals of each main character was fascinating. I truly felt connected to each widow and loved the change of perspective as the story shifted from one to the other to speak. There were lots of unexpected twists and turns as the story progressed. I listened to the entire book over 2 days. Bravo!!

I was not prepared for the in-depth and comprehensive analysis of the disordered mind of the narcissist. Julie Hall has done a masterful job of explaining the phenomenon of this delusional personality type. Having been the spousal victim of narcissistic abuse, her plain English approach to this complicated topic was a godsend for me. Kudos to Julie Hall for writing this remarkable, educational book. It explained so many questions I have held for so very long. If you have a narcissist in your life, this book tops my list, and I have read quite a few.

M. Scott Peck has truly gone in depth in his analysis of evil in people. His narrative is wonderfully delivered. He is a master storyteller, and his ability to draw you into the stories he shares about people worked with is amazing. I felt as if I was a spectator in the very room where he was doing therapy. The dark side or dark force is unmasked, and Scott gives thought provoking commentary on what to make of it. I truly was mesmerized by this book and intend to follow it with the second edition. I highly recommend this audio book!

Unlike many books who run down the offender at every turn this presents both sides fairly and with love and compassion
I was the offender in my marriage
I learned more in this program than I have in over 20 books my wife has given me to read

Cannot recommend this enough
