Historia
At the beginning of 1940, Germany was at the pinnacle of its power. By May 1945, Hitler was dead and Germany had suffered a disastrous defeat. Hitler had failed to achieve his aim of making Germany a super power and had left her people to cope with the endless shame of the Holocaust. Despite Hitler's grand ambitions and the successful early stages of the Third Reich's advances into Europe, Frank McDonough convincingly argues that Germany was only ever a middle-ranking power and never truly stood a chance against the combined forces of the Allies.

Great informative, well written but told in monotone. This is one to be read not heard. It really really is written extremely well, these are books well worth having, only in print not audio.

Good story , great performance, nicely done. Not terrifying or scary , more eerie than anything and that is what it’s better than average. It’s intelligently written. Almost as if it actually happened.

Historia
An unprecedented report for unprecedented times, Profile of a Nation: Trump’s Mind, America’s Soul is a unique and timely accomplishment by one of America’s leading intellectuals. Dr. Bandy Lee’s previous New York Times bestseller, The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 37 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Assess a President, opened the door to understanding the Trump presidency from a mental health perspective and has been published in many countries and languages. This new book goes beyond Donald Trump to explaining the followers who elevated him and the nation that tolerated ...

Irresponsible at best.
Revisado: 04-29-25
Lee speaks of morals and ethics yet the source for their information is utterly and clearly biased and Lee wrote this book merely to make money for if Lee was really concerned about the country and the world Lee would have banged down doors to get the warning out. Money is as far as Lees morals and ethics go. This is character assassination for profit.

Historia
Richard Painter and Peter Golenbock present a clear description of rule of law - arguably the single most important principle underlying our civilization. They also describe the abuses of power that have occurred throughout our nation's history. Beginning in Puritan New England with the infamous Salem Witch Trials, American Nero makes vivid stops at The Red Scare of the 1920s, Japanese-American internment, the McCarthy Era, and, much more recently, President Trump's attempt to violate the First Amendment by banning Muslims from entering the US.

Still worth listening to, though they make ridiculous assertions about Trump being a foreign asset. It does make good points though.

Good old fashioned ghost story with the twist being the family is in witness protection with an FBI agent. Creepy and eerie in the right amounts , a writer that keeps it simple but highly entertaining and scary. This is what a ghost story should be.
