Historia
While investigating Blackston’s recent activities, FBI Agent Jeremy Winter stumbles upon a string of missing persons within state parks. Unable to convince his boss that Blackston’s disappearance is anything other than a lost hiker, Winter joins forces with a local police officer to continue the search. As the clues mount, a dark figure from Jeremy’s past emerges with an ultimatum - one that could force him out of the bureau. Afraid that his girlfriend, fellow agent Maggie Keeley, will be dragged into a high-stakes political game, he delays his decision.

I’m sorry! I. Just. Couldn’t.
Revisado: 12-17-24
I’m sorry I couldn’t even make it through what I imagine would be the first page as the narrator’s voice is as BAD as an AI generated narrator’s voice. He pauses and inflects in the wrong spots. It’s awkward! Like trying not to stare a giant booger coming out of someone’s nose while having an intelligent conversation with them. You just can’t. You HAVE TO walk away.

Historia
Criminologist Martin Knight lives a gilded life and is a thorn in the side of the police. But then his wife, Liz, goes missing. There is no good explanation and no sign of Martin.... To make things worse, Liz is the ex-girlfriend of DCI Craig Gillard who is drawn into the investigation. Is it just a missing person or something worse? And what relevance do the events around the shocking Girl F case, so taken up by Knight, have to do with the present? The truth is darker than you could ever have imagined.

Very good description without boring me to death and the narrator was extremely pleasant to listen to.

Historia
His priceless discovery will make history… if someone doesn’t steal it first. Darwin Lacroix needs to avenge his family’s disgrace. Archaeologists dismissed their claims of Roman treasure buried in the far north, laughing off an ancient scroll found under Mt. Vesuvius. Until now. A recently uncovered diamond cache in Iceland proves the existence of a long-lost fortune. Darwin rushes to Reykjavik, but when a powerful cartel joins the hunt, his quest becomes a race to reveal the mother lode first. With a volcanologist and an unsavory diamond expert on board, Darwin’s search for riches...

The story itself is good, I like historical fiction but couldn't fully get into the artifical reading of the book.

AI Voice is a “NO” from me
Revisado: 05-17-24
I thought I would give a story that has an AI narrator a chance and I am sorry I did. The voice was not engaging, did not rise or fall at the appropriate moments and was so awkward, I struggled greatly listening to the story. I listened to the end, as I hate to leave a good story in the middle, but it was painful. I will avoid AI narrators in the future!

Meh
Revisado: 02-21-23
If you can wade through the SEA of similes, metaphors and anecdotes, it’s not a bad murder mystery. However, the spine you’re waiting for the main character to grow, doesn’t come until the very end and by then you are so tired of her hemming and hawing and boo-hooing, you cannot wait for the book to end. I don’t think I could stand to listen to another.

I have really enjoyed this author and his “voice” (characters, plots, etc) and the narrator.

Wonderful narrator! Excellent, descriptive story without being too wordy. A good story for YA or an easy listen for adults.
