Historia
Someone is stalking the UCLA Medical Center - a depraved madman who is preying upon the staff, particularly those who are young and female. No stranger to the terrible ravages of senseless violence, E.R. Chief Dr. David Spier must keep the emergency room running smoothly and efficiently, even as his terrified co-workers wonder who will be the next victim. But when the monster himself is dragged into the E.R. in handcuffs - hideously burned, suffering, and begging for mercy - the nightmare is far from over. It has only just begun.

Great storyline with lots of suspense, twists, and turns! I started with Orphan X, which is just amazing, and then jumped onto Do No Harm as an in betweener - love this intense thriller!

Historia
A massive FBI manhunt is underway for an elusive and terrifyingly adept serial bomber. He's just struck his sixth target, Idaho's Boon Dam, killing a dozen innocent people. But the bomber, who the press has dubbed "Green Man", insists these drastic acts of violence - each one carefully selected to destroy a target that threatens the environment - are necessary to draw the world's attention to the climate-change emergency. The FBI has no real leads. Until young Agent Tom Smith approaches the task-force leader with an unexpected insight.

Terrorism is never a good idea.
Revisado: 03-27-25
This book is for climate activists and sycophants. I listened for hours awaiting a turn to morality, but no, this is just glorifying climate change terrorists and martyrs. Terrorism is never a good idea.

Meh. It was just OK
Revisado: 04-08-24
For fiction, it was a fairly unrealistic story and boring. Character development was weak so you really don't become invested in any of them. This is the only book I've read by this author, and I would not consider another by this author.

Comes across understated, but then just blah.
Revisado: 03-24-24
Story was weak overall. The whole time you will be thinking that this character is interesting, but then the hype falls away and the character just falls flat. Also, the story is laced with identity politics. YAWN.

Historia
Allie Hilts was still in high school when a fire at a top-secret research facility released an air-borne pathogen that quickly spread to every male on the planet, killing most. Allie witnessed every man she ever knew be consumed by fearsome symptoms: scorching fevers and internal bleeding, madness and uncontrollable violence. The world crumbled around her. No man was spared, and the few survivors were irrevocably changed. They became disturbingly strong, aggressive, and ferocious. Feral.

Historia
Leigh Collier has worked hard to build what looks like a normal life. She has a good job as a defense attorney, a daughter doing well in school, and even her divorce is relatively civilized - her life is just as unremarkable as she’d always hoped it would be. But Leigh’s ordinary life masks a childhood that was far from average...a childhood tarnished by secrets, broken by betrayal, and finally torn apart by a devastating act of violence.

So happy this was free.
Revisado: 03-15-24
I've never read any books by this author until this one. Thankfully, it was free. It was unimaginative and predictable. While I've had the same sentiment about other books, I've rated this even lower due to the constant reminder of how much everyone should hate men, the patriarchy, relationship norms, etc. I mean, I get that this was written during The Pandemic!, and it was all the rage to man hate and mask shame, but wow, do we need a reminder every other paragraph? I'm sure the author would screechingly reply "YES!". There were also many instances that were so tedious that it made me wonder if this was a paid by the word sort of deal - I mean who seriously cares of the exact row and column a file was found within a computer folder? I made it through to chapter 7, then got frustrated and skipped to the last chapter. I skipped through much of the last chapter because, as stated previously, it was predictable. I will not be giving this author another try as I'm sure the derangement will only get worse...

Historia
The boy has lived his whole life trapped within a book-choked chamber older than empires and larger than cities. The girl has been plucked from the outskirts of civilization to be trained as a librarian, studying the mysteries of the great library at the heart of her kingdom. They were never supposed to meet. But in the library, they did. Their stories spiral around each other, across worlds and time. This is a tale of truth and lies and hearts, and the blurring of one into another.

Very tedious
Revisado: 02-11-24
A very tedious story with annoying characters. I endured the entire story only because I thought that there might be some reason for the droning on and on about the same topics. The characters are unremarkable and shallow. By the time you make it to the end, you're left feeling like it could've been a short story.

Historia
It's been three long years since Deadbreak. That's what everyone's calling it - the day the dead rose. Every day since then, Jeremiah Reid has had one goal: to make his way back to his daughter. With his four-legged companion, Joe, Jeremiah has to travel a lawless wasteland teeming with zombies, bandits, and worse, like people who put anchovies on pizza (you know who you are). It's a new world out there, and no one is safe. People are weary, cities are in ruin, supplies are scarce, and brains are on the menu.

The writing captures you in the first paragraph. Excellent new storytelling of an age old circumstance. Absolute equal parts grim and hilarious. The narrator is the best out there! He completely embodies the main character and sporting characters. Cannot wait for the next installment!

The ai voice narration might actually be the only disturbing thing about the story. I would categorize this as a grade school level "horror" short story. Not scary at all, but interesting.
