When Lady Eliana’s father dies, the cousin (and his family) who inherited treats her horribly. She is hardly more than a servant. This is a lovely retelling of Cinderella. What is needed now is a prince to rescue the lady. Eliana meets Garret, Viscount Sinclair, briefly during a visit to London to chaperone her cousin’s daughter. Garret is taken with her, and feels she is hiding something. At a ball given by her cousin for his daughter, Eliana decides to chance a dance with Garret, but she must return to her room by midnight. Things get out of hand. Eliana has disappeared, and Garret is determined to rescue her. The villains, who lied and cheated Eliana, get what they deserve. This is a sweet story with a happy ending.
I enjoyed the audio version. Verity Burns’ narration was quite good.

Lady Meg Pinwell is betrothed to James Clay, Duke of Earnhurst, but she has never seen or communicated with him. She and her Aunt Clara come up with a plan to get information on him by visiting his estate. What happens when they arrive is a delightful romp through mistaken identity and romance. Meg pretends to be Clara’s companion. The duke’s man of business, Elliot Riniken, is playing the duke, and James is pretending to be the butler (and not a very good one). An accident keeps them together for a while. Whispers and slips of the tongue begin to unravel the identities. We have two happy couples, the butler and the companion and the duke and the lady. Well, not exactly. By the end of the story, the right people end up together, and the identities are all straighten out. The splendid narration by Kimberly M. Wetherell and Jay Myers made this amusing and entertaining story come to life.

The captain refused to turn the ship around. They will sail to America together, a voyage that has many possibilities. One thing is certain. They will have the opportunity to know each other better. It seems that there is more to Matthew and Beatrice than meets the eye. A voyage across the Atlantic, a ship’s captain with good advice, a visit in Boston, and the return voyage results in a happy ending. Cute story and great characters. Twenty years ago, Margaret Maitland’s fiancé disappeared without a trace, leaving her with child. She has been an outcast from society since. Stephen Eddington moved into the manor neighboring Phillip Maitland’s about a year ago. A house party gives them a chance to get to know each other better. They find they have much in common. Thing is, Stephen wants a career in politics and Margaret’s ruination will hamper that. Can they overcome the problem? Will Stephen choose a career or a life with the woman he has come to love. This is a delightful story. The Maitland family is fun and supportive of each other. Margaret and Stephen are intelligent, caring, and resilient. An enjoyable story and loveable characters (well, maybe not Lady Leek). Enjoyable narration by Philip Battley.

Grant Tilbury, Duke of Ravenscroft, has done what he had to in order to clean up the mess his father left him. Lady Charlotte Ashbourne’s family is near destitution and ruin because of the Ravenscroft calling in her father’s debt. Charlotte wants revenge against the unfeeling duke. When she confronts him, he offers a compromise. If she will spend Christmastide with him (chaperoned, of course), he will return some of the family’s funds. Sometimes, the picture you have of a person is far from the truth. As Charlotte and Grant spend time together and get to know each other, they come to understand each other. The story has drama, anger, family issues, loss, a few twists, and finally understanding. The is a wonderful heart-touching story with sensitive and caring characters and a lovely happy ending. Enjoyable narration.

Princess Payton, who doesn’t act much like a princess, has sneaked passed the palace guards again and has come to Shelter City to visit her friend. Yevgen has captured the attention of the Federation. He has a habit of being overly curious in databases he shouldn’t be in. Nyle, a Cysgodian scientist and Yevgen’s creator, arrives at the same time as mercenaries do. The three of them are captured. They manage to thwart the mercenaries and end up being rescued by Her mother’s old crew. Somehow, with all that is going on, Payton and Nyle are drawn to each other. There is more trouble with the Federation and the race to get to the virus and destroy it. Action-packed and suspenseful, Payton’s story is an edge-of-your-seat adventure. It is also a great romance with a little hitch thrown in.
The characters, old and new, are fantastic. Is there a happy ending? Oh, yeah, in more ways than one. The story is brought to life by the talented Michael Ferraiuolo.

When Henry, drunk and mistaken, declares that Lilah attempted to ravish him, her reputation is ruined. She and her fellow wallflowers make a pact to help each other get revenge on men who have done them wrong. Lilah is first. The ladies plan a house party where Lilah will have her revenge on Henry. Unexpectedly, spending time together changes their feelings toward each other. This is a quick delightful story. Henry is an adorable rake. Lilah and her friends are wallflowers fed up with being ignored. The party is fun, the banter entertaining, the romance steamy. The moment the truth comes out, priceless. Great narration by Ally Gordon.

Elodie Fairweather is a rich girl trying to escape a family she thinks cares nothing about her. She is on a road trip to gather research for a book she wants to write. Strange things begin to happen when she pulls into the parking lot of Hotel Motel. Bruce comes to her rescue, from a sandstorm in her car. That’s just the beginning of the craziness. Is her problem a spell, enchantment, or curse? This is another fun and engaging visit with the MacGregor Warlock clan. They are all here and pitch in to help determine what is happening to Elodie so that hopefully she and Bruce can move on to happiness together. This one has it all. To go along with the wonderful MacGregor family, there is lots of fun and magic, twists and surprises, and a mystery with just enough hint to hold your attention to the end. As always, Michael Ferraiuolo provided an enjoyable narration.
