A clan of healers?! Was that even a thing? People thought we were weak and incapable of defending ourselves and our property. Those who wished to do harm swooped down on the clan like vultures. And that was a good thing! More enemies meant more harvest, and more material for my experiments.

Historia
Adrian faces threats he is aware of; weak but numerous enemies that no one else would even think about challenging. He is not at all concerned because of a simple fact of life: if you know what's coming, the risk can be mitigated or avoided in its entirety. With his companions, new and old, along with the energy windfall from the hoppers, Adrian has the purchasing power and the fighting strength to make like light work of monsters that would otherwise be problematic.

Where's the next book?
Revisado: 03-27-25
Where's the next book? There is no way it is the end as we were given hints about another major threat heading the MC's way. The interface is still at risk as well. Therefore, I can confidently say that this series can't be called complete. The books description may say that this is the final book, but how can that possibly be true? The quest is unfinished, the fungus hasn't been used, the mail is undelivered, the alpha event hasn't been labeled, and so on. Please finish the series.

I'm done with this series starting here
Revisado: 02-22-25
I should have known that this series would become too vast after Zack did so well on his own world. Because of this series I now have a love for post-apocalyptic LitRPGs, which I'll always be thankful for. However, much like The System Apocalypse, because the main characters are "OP" on their own worlds, they must go out into the multiverse to find proper conflict. I just hate how this genre most times has enemies that the main character has no business being enemies with as they are too powerful. This series is even worse than The System Apocalypse in this way. The main character's people don't even have plot armor! I guess that was the last straw for me. Usually what makes me put down a series down is either 1) they suddenly get injured which causes an entire book to be them back to their prime in power or 2) their enemy is a literal god. I'll try to find a new post-apocalyptic LitRPG that focuses on the challenges on their own world. One last complaint... the mix between a classic leveling system and cultivation just makes the situation of the newly integrated people all the more challenging. I can't imagine being a mortal in this story. Knowing no matter how hard you try you'll never have it as easy as a cultivator and to even progress you'll need countless "treasures". I guess I just really hate cultivation books.

Cringe sound effects
Revisado: 02-15-25
I love Solo Leveling. I hate all the cringe sound effects. The monsters growling is probably the worst. This is translated into English, so why aren't the cringe sound effects filtered out? English stories don't typically have sound effects sounded out. "He heard foot steps" is all that is necessary. I know what foot steps sound like. I don't need letters that aren't actually words to sound them out. Also, all the rando unnamed character voices are terrible. I don't feel like the narrator does Solo Leveling justice. The narrator might be appropriate for pre-system, but Jinwoo, the Shadow Monarch, needs a narrator like the English dub voice actor.

Spoiled, unstable, delusional, brat MC
Revisado: 12-30-24
Minor spoilers ahead.
I really dig the whole villain MC theme this series has going, however, I hate Everly. She picks the oddest times to go off character and show mercy. Like the former queen, her duplicates, her siblings, her father, Finn especially, and etcetera. The whole playing a part in a twisted view of the world as a TV show is crazy and a little lame. I wish she would just take over the world as herself instead of trying to live out scenarios she cooks up to match fictional entertainment from earth. I hate that her spirits were conveniently hibernating when she needs them the most. I hate Finn and how Everly handled the situation. Any villain worth their title would know that Finn needed to die (a second time). I hated the second half of this book. I hated the abrupt ending. I'm confused by all the future/maybe alternative timeline chapters, like what's up with Ash and the hero's sword? Everly is a spoiled child with too much power pretending to play the part of a villain when really she is just a psychotic serial killer with delusions of grandeur. I really had high hopes for this series. I saw the early warning signs but ignored them hoping with time she'd be less spoiled with age. I was even willing to put up with her being brat when I realized that wasn't going to change. However, her character along with the weird second half of the book combined with the equally odd cliffhanger exceeded the limit of my tolerance. I'm going to have to find something else to spend my credits on. I'll be cheering for her enemies. I might even google how things go in the next book.

Annoying girls
Revisado: 12-29-24
All the female characters are beyond annoying. I feel sorry for the MC. If I were him I'd put those girls in their place. By not standing up for himself he encourages their terrible behavior. The MC needs to do more telling people to mind their own business and less apologizing. Grow some spine, jeez. I like the concept of this series, but it definitely doesn't measure up to Solo Leveling.

Onomatopoeias are cringe-worthy
Revisado: 12-23-24
I love Solo Leveling, but I hate so the sound effects. Telling readers that the character's heart raced is perfectly adequate, there is no need to add the heartbeat sound effect. I wish the reader would just skip over the growling and constant heartbeat sounds instead of poorly attempt to make the sounds. I can't remember any other audiobooks having constant cringe-worthy sound effects. Is it a Korean literature norm? If so, I'll have to avoid Korean audiobooks that are translated into English. The laughing might be the most annoying. Ha ha ha!
I love the Solo Leveling series and I don't regret purchasing the audiobooks. I do wish the voice actor did less annoying sound effects.

This new deal will see him sent to the world of Raiah - a world filled with monsters, cowardly monkeys, and a system of magic very similar to the fantasy roleplaying games his brother used to enjoy.

Potential
Revisado: 12-16-24
Spoilers possible.
I hate how Keith refuses to use his best weapon skill. I also dislike his refusal to even learn about magic. However, what I find most annoying is the nearly impossible quests he keeps getting. This series has potential, but it isn't for me. I prefer enemies to be within a certain range of level to the main character. I find impossible challenges get drawn out which is unentertaining to me. I like that Keith has prior experience as a combatant and doesn't flinch from doing what is necessary. His stubborn streak is annoying though. I think a hybrid spellsword would have been pretty cool. My least favorite combat style is fist/martial arts followed by blunt weapons. I like the world and the system so far. I guess that's why I find it so frustrating. The main character has the right attitude, the system so far is cool, and the world seems interesting. Unfortunately, all that potential is ruined by a obsession not to use his best weapon skill, stupidly hard quests, and drawing the eye of a powerful organization way too early on in the series. An S ranked quest at level 6? Come on, that's ridiculous. I prefer overpowered characters beating unlikely odds, not a character crippling their potential facing impossible odds but making it through barely by blah blah blah scheme.

Historia
No one leaves a negotiation happy. But wounded pride aside, Sylver was overjoyed with how everything turned out. He left with a talented clairvoyant, an army of highly skilled dark elves, a talking golden crowbar, the finger of the greatest lich to ever exist, and all it cost him was a fraction of a fraction of a century. Sadly Eira didn’t simply stop and wait for his return, Lola became a king, Bruno concocted abominations, Faust drowned his sorrows in powders and elixirs, and the ever-looming threat of High-Elves and Krists, loomed more than ever.

This again?
Revisado: 11-25-24
Minor/Major spoilers possible.
I was really looking forward to Sylver returning to his own realm and being within his own element, however, in this book he goes to cultivator land. He knows just enough about cultivators to get himself into trouble. My favorite thing about this series is Sylver's bad@ss know it all attitude that is backed up by his extensive knowledge base. So him going to cultivator land where most of his knowledge is useless was a huge let down. Also, the book ended suddenly. It was so sudden that I thought maybe there was an issue with the recording. Unfortunately, this means the next book will take place in cultivator land once again.
It is tiring how overpowered some characters are. It is like come on, how is that allowed to be a thing within the rules of the system? I honestly hate the cultivation system and culture. Instead of mages and cultivators being on the same planet, I wish there was a cultivator planet that Syler never had to go to. Warriors using mana with a stupid honor system would have been fine. An energy source that half the population can't sense is aggravating.
I'm not sure if this happened to anyone else, but my recording had the last chapter twice. It was fixed by re-downloading the book.
This is one of my favorite series right now. Even with two books that I found aggravating, it is still better than most LitRPGs out there right now. Keep the books coming please!

Entertaining
Revisado: 11-05-24
I like the universe this book takes place in and the magic/leveling system. The main character, Max, is likable. I wish he was a little more confident. My main complaint is that the quest he receives took nearly half the novel. I felt like it dragged on forever. Also, I hate his little girlfriend. I keep hoping she'll break up with him and then die.
