Devastating infuriating story, brilliant writer

This was perfectly told. What a brave, selfless act by a victim who chose to tell her brutal abuse (physical and mental) by young men, sick fellow. entitled students, a monstrous, unscrupulous school beaurocracy, and a twisted corrupt legal world. She told her story rather than sue the bastards who fought and won in covering it all up. She shows how to turn victimhood, oppression, and horrific shaming into hereoism and brutal strenght! Brava and thank you, Ms. Crawford. God bless you, your wonderful husband and kids.

Maddening political rhetoric detracts

If the author had just kept away from bashing and glorifying based on his politics, I would have enjoyed this book 100% more. It ttly distracted the attention away from the.message and wonderful stories and storytelling. RIP Phillip.

Good true story, but tedious telling at times

I'm an avid true crime reader including all Ann Rule and Olson books. I was interested in this story but it was painful at times the way Leslie Rule told it. It seemed like a lot of detail was disconnected and it was frustrating to get through.

An incredibly raw, authentic, shocking and shockingly honest behind the scenes view of Bundy's twisted life and death. Unexpectedly riveting from page 1 to end. Unusually awesome narrator portrayed sad honest desperation in every word. Very well done!!

One of my favorite books EVER

the storytelling is spectacular, the beautiful story is so touching and riveting. This was one of the best books I've ever read. Jeannette storytelling is full of reality and love, I felt like I was right alongside Lily in all of her fascinating life's travels, triumphs, and heartbreaks. I read The Glass Castle first, and like this book as much or more! It says novel, but it's so easy to see that this is what the story really was. Heartfelt thanks and congratulations for writing amd narrating this beautiful masterpiece, Jeannette Walls!
