I just couldn't get into it

I like these kinds of books, but this one, I just couldn't get into it. I tried... kept going for a bit, thinking it would get better for me but it didn't. I didn't care about the characters, the story, the plot... narrator was ok, not fabulous, It might be fore you, give it a try, For me, a no-go.

I really like the world Sarah has developed and was so glad to see another series in it! I love all the characters, their quirks and individuality. Great storytelling and the narration is great too! You will not go wrong with these books!

It took me a few chapters to get into the story, but at the end, I was ready for the second book. Great narrator, good story, interesting world. Worth your credit.

Review for Undead Ultra

This is a set of "first in the series" books. I discovered this when I listened to Undead Ultra first and Afterworld next. I found the next Undead Ultra book on Audible and quickly listened to all of them! They are really great! Love the characters and the unique ultra running connections made thru the series. The last book in the series, I had to go to Amazon Kindle and use my credit there, since Audible said it was not available. I'm reading Afterworld book 2 on my Kindle. Now that Undead is over, I'll start the next "first" book in this set and see where it takes me. I like that the worlds in each book are different, the zombies are different, the characters are different.

Just couldn't like the characters

I got through the first book by just plugging through. I kept wishing I'd finally like the characters, but sadly, I did not connect with them. It was boring overall. Got it for a sale price so no refund.

Love this whole series!

Great world. Excellent characters. Fantastic story arc. I started reading this on my Kindle and switched to audible. This is going on my favorites list to listen to again when I need a good book to read.

Narrator killed it for me

The premise was ok, and the story wasn't terrible. I think if I was reading this book, I would have stuck with it. But the narrator ended every sentence on a low note. It sounded so hokey, I just couldn't get past a few chapters. I tried, Listen to the sample to see if it doesn't bother you, and if it doesn't, it's probably a good book. I should have done that. Oh well. Grateful that Audible allows returns.

I LOVE this series!!

I've been reading this series on my Kindle and have loved every book! So much so that I'm reading the 4th and last book and listening to the first one! I figure by the time I'm done reading, the audiobook will have caught up to the end! Great characters, love the story! Highly recommend!

A fun book to listen to

I liked this story. It has a magic theme, but no obvious magic spells. The characters are interesting and the story line relevant. The narrator did a great job. I'm looking forward to the next one.
