Good premise - aggravating characters
Revisado: 11-07-24
When I pause the book to call my sister-in-law to yell at her for suggesting the book…
The story has a great premise and promise. Then the most ridiculous FBI agents, Journalist, and annoying 27 year old attempt to destroy it.
All in all - it was fine. But there were things that were so far fetched that it was hard to get deeply engaged in the story.

40 hours?! That went quick.

While at times I got confused by the characters, the storyline really did flow well. I’m happy to hear that Robin stood up to Strike and even more so that they are working on their honestly. Looking forward to what’s next at the Strike Ellicot Detective Agency!

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Hail Mary full of Grace
Revisado: 08-30-21
Thoroughly enjoyed this book! It’s a Weir novel: space, humor, sarcasm, and not your typical ending.
Starting with basic math and learning who Grace is was a beautiful opening. I don’t know if I would have enjoyed it as much as I did if I were reading instead of listening.
Ray Porter had the right tone, inflection, and style. Enjoyed him as Strat, the Russians, a spot on Canadian, and he was phenomenal as Rocky. Seriously impressive.
I’m glad I saved the book for a lengthy road trip. My fiancé and I got to enjoy it for long listens!

Historia
Since bursting onto the scene in the mid '70s, the pop duo Captain and Tennille have long defined the sparkling, optimistic idea of everlasting love, both in their music and through their image as a happy and, seemingly, unbreakable couple. They were an irresistible pair to millions of fans all over the world, further underscored by the rousing "yes, we can!" gospel of their biggest hit, "Love Will Keep Us Together". But underneath the image was an entirely different story that the fans never saw.

A Pleasant Surprise
Revisado: 10-18-16
I bought the book because it was quite a bargain. What a pleasant surprise to thoroughly enjoy Toni telling her story and learning so much about her. I never knew how often she leant her voice to acts I would have never guessed. (Pink Floyd, seriously?!) I'm glad she found her love, but I'm so sorry that it was so lonely. I was proud of her for decisions made that will allow her to enjoy her golden years with peace.

I can't recall how many times I yelled, "Yes!!" Another great installment. I'm looking forward to the next book. I don't always need a happy ending, but I think we're due.
