I saw the amazing reviews and had to check this out. I barely ever leave reviews unless something blows me away and I read multiple books a week. This was probably my favorite book of the entire year. Absolutely beautiful writing. the character development was everything I want in a book. The writing style was just beautiful. Can't emphasize it enough. Don't even get me started on the insanely talented narrator. Everything about this book and the way it was narrated just blew me away. I didn't want it to be over. Don't take my word for it; check it out yourself and thank me later!

I really enjoyed this read and I'm a little bit of a book snob. This was a genuinely exciting adventure of a book....A gory, gory adventure of a book. I loved it.

I usually read pretty long novels and series, but I like to take somewhat of a break sometimes and read or listen to something different... and short and quick. I tend to lean towards darker material. I really enjoyed this one and recommend it.

A lot of comments stating this was one of the better of the series, but I didn't find it nearly as suspenseful or exciting as the First and second In the series. still a good read, just not as good as the reviews made it sound. Not a lot of build up between the 2 main characters, not really a reason for so much infatuation and Kellee was kind of annoying with her out of nowhere "need for space" ... I mean REALLY out of nowhere, it really threw me off and made her unlikable, so it was a little hard to finish after that.

I was waiting on this one and it did not disappoint. The story was great, narration was perfect (as per usual with these 2 narrators). I definitely recommend it!

Hill...Always good

Joe Hill is insanely good. I have read Heart Shaped Box, the entire Locke and Key graphic novel set and just finished NOS4A2 and his work never fails to hold my attention and even sparks my own creative thinking. I love that he had a very quick Locke and Key reverence in this book. If you enjoy horror and sci fi and delving into the idea of different worlds existing inside of people's minds, definitely read anything Hill writes. Apparently having a knack for writing novels runs in the family. Excellent read. The narrator was also amazing. 5 stars overall.

Always angsty and amazing

L. J. Shen is ALWAYS a go to for me since I first started her Sinners of Saint series a couple years ago. I read many other reviews and understand where most are coming from, but disagree that the characters were unlikable or had massive mental issues. The characters were deeply damaged and everyone should remember the awful things they did as teenagers. We're all human and ultimately sinners. What really counts is how we choose to redeem ourselves and fess up to the things we do when we're under immense pressure. Shen is amazing at making the reader feel almost tortured for her characters and the awful things that seem to be constantly happening to them. I believe this build up makes the resolution all that much better in the end.

Meyer is waaaay too good at building anxiety......

I am such a huge nerd fan of Marissa Meyer and her ability to suck you into her character's lives. I can't really place it, but there is something about her writing that makes me so damn anxious to know what will happen. She evokes similar reactions and 'edge of your seat' frustration in pretty much all of her books, which I have read every single one. Meyer brilliantly sets up her stories in a way that leaves the reader wondering how in the hell it is all going to work out in the end.

I literally waited an entire year to read this installment of the series and I was not disappointed at all, but I did notice the story slowed quite a bit to allow for Adrian and Nova's relationship to blossom a bit more. I think that's why some people are stating that this one was slower than the first. So much action starts to happen towards the end of the book and as per usual, Meyer had me talking to myself on my drive to work, getting ready to punch something because I desperately want the characters to reveal all of their secrets to each other once and for all. When I heard the music signaling the end of the book, I yelled AWWWWW WHAT?!? to myself while gripping the steering wheel and hauling ass on the highway. I will once again be anxiously awaiting the next, and final installment. WRITE IT ALREADY, MARISSA! lol

This entire series kept me on my toes and I think I read all 4 books in about a week. If you like intense, suspenseful stories and enjoy the darker side of romance novels, this series is for you. The writing was excellent and the narrators were ridiculously good. There are so many times that I felt so damn frustrated at how the main characters were treated and the hell they had to go through, but those stories are often the best when it all works out in the end. Definitely enjoyed all of the books in this series and would be interested in reading other works from Tillie Cole..

Good read...kinda disappointed at the end :(

This book was very intriguing and kept my attention the whole time. I am slightly ADD about books and if I get bored, I sometimes will start reading another book or lose interest in finishing it altogether, but this one kept my attention and I finished it within a couple of days. The story and characters were great and I loved the progression of the book, but I can't stand having a big build up with a not so satisfying explanation at the end. Too much build up for not a lot of answers. I understand some books are written this way on purpose, but I would've liked more of a solid explanation about the "truth" that was being sought so thoroughly throughout the entire book. Luke Daniels was an awesome narrator, as he always is. I'll still give it 4 stars because I stayed entertained the entire time, but that last star is being held back due to the ending. Still worth the read, though.
