You will only be encouraging the cynical careless people
Who put this A.I.mess together.
Those of us who love Olney’s style know he was opinionated, critical, and difficult as well as a wonderful passionate writer.
How infuriating and frustrating to get a flat robotic voice reading this very personal memoir. Real talented narrators are why we LISTEN to books on tape. Worse, the producers don’t even bother to program the French pronunciation at all and there
Are a lot of wine, place and food names . “ St. Denis” is “Street Dennis”. “ Montrachet” is “ Mount Ratchet” etc etc. Chalk on a blackboard .
Finally, there are more tech. problems than I can count - constant skips ,hesitations etc.
Listeners, If we don’t complain now they will just continue to throw this garbage at us. Book lovers/ listeners deserve better.

I was very disappointed not to be able to get through even one episode because the material is all so interesting. The stilted manner, exaggerated pronunciations and plodding reading actually make The Rat Pack sound dull!
