Historia
I thought he was nothing more than a rebellious fling. But now I’m his…with no way out. Ibiza was meant to be an escape. With my father dead, my brother sent away, and my mother frantically trying to marry me off to anyone who will have me, all I want is to forget all of this is happening. So when my friends give me the opportunity to sneak away with them to the mecca of yachts, parties, extravagance and sin–I take my chance and go. Sexy story but virtual voice lacked emotion.
Revisado: 06-21-24
I loved the build of the story and the steamy, passionate sex between David and Amalie. The story was captivating but the virtual voice diminished the emotion and seemed exactly like a robot during scenes that required inflection, tone and depth to really capture the essence of the characters and their interactions.

Second chances happen once!
Revisado: 05-14-24
I loved the perspective of a father’s second chance with his family. I loved how the cast brought to life all the mundane and miraculous moments of his life. We really need to slow down and be present. Tomorrow is never promised.

Believable Characters
Revisado: 05-01-24
Loved how the story unraveled as Jamie Elder played out her hand in life with the cards life dealt her. It was easy to connect with her and when she struggled, I struggled. I love how we see the gritty, mundane moments that can make or break a person. I was enthralled wondering how it would play out.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Enthralling and Moving
Revisado: 02-25-22
I was swept away on a current of emotions while listening. My heart and mind raced to make connections and predictions about Languoreth and her loved ones. The description of 6th century Scotland and its inhabitants and there cultures had me listening for hours on end. Laughing and weeping with the character’s hardships, joys and losses. Knowing the underlying story is based on a true Queen from a forgotten time, lends magic and a longing for more.
