Books 1-4 made for a gripping story that pulled
Me in much faster than expected. Now that I’ve completed the four original books I’m left wanting more.
Rick Partlow I hope that you continue the series. Exploring where the Ranger story arch could go in future books.

Long long wait… but a nicely done continuation in the Series
Revisado: 10-06-22
The Entire Series has been a fun Listen so far.
I wanted to make this book last a bit longer. But taking a break from it was much harder to do at the end of each chapter than planned. The story and the Characters will pull you in, making for a enjoyable listen.
I just hope for timely release of Book 5. Waiting nearly 2 years after book 3 for book 4 audiobook to drop comes off as a real lack of care/Interest in your Audio listening Fans. Such long times between book releases especially while the print version has been available long before is my main reason for no longer continuing with a series.

IF YOUR 11C treat your soal and start this series !
Revisado: 07-30-22
If your a Chuck with a CIB. Giving your experience from being 11 Charlie. Serving as a Indirect fire infantrymen's and performing the 11C true mission and Tasks . Having dropped many rounds in the pits and hanging with your gun crew. Then you will get something more from this book. Being able to relate to the Mortar men karts of the book. Being expressed the way it is in a Sci-fi book. Just adds to the fun.
I went into this book knowing it was a spin off of the rise of the republic book series. Unlike that series this book takes place the young soldier level. Rather than the commanding general level that rise of the republic takes place at.
When one of the main characters is found out to be a Eleven Charlie I thought it was cool but didn't expect any level of accuracy or surprisise
to take place. After completing much more of the book and finding all the hidden Easter eggs left for combat vets, Being a infantrymen, going on deployment, living at a COP.
The author must be 11B or 11C. I loved the real life experience coming out strongly in Mil science fiction form. When at the same time the attention to detail and great talent for story telling. Allows the story to be on par with non- fiction books on the War in Afghanistan and especially RC- east .

If Military Sify is your happy place, like me.... you won't be disappointed!
Revisado: 07-28-22
I would bet that at least 80% of who are reading this reviews and already know their buying this book. Are like me and with a matching Audible libraries all consisting of the same books and series.
With all the Expeditionary force books, All of the Galaxy edge books season one and 2 plus all the spin off series, Ruins of the Galaxy, Forgotten ruins. Many never ending book series by J.N Chaney and "some other author". Close to 2 years of monthly credits spent on drop trooper and sentenced to war. And can't make up our minds about who is more annoying Skippy, Chuck or Brody.
I would be shocked if I'm wrong and more than a just a few people Didn't follow exactly what I just said. So you must have already read book one or two already. I don't think this will be the book of the series that you lose interest and don't finish the book. If you're liked me you can't make up your mind if increasing the read rate is worth The shortening of a entertaining audiobook.
With all that being said. There was definitely a few things that took place in the story that annoyed the hell out me. Book one and two showed Yoshi as a very high functioning alcoholic that the team didn't like. But Yoshi still carried his weight. But somehow between book 2 and three with a day or two of Time Taking Pl., Yoshi becomes a very sloppy drunk causing problems. Has a combat vet myself I didn't like how Yoshi was made to look in the first half of the book because of him dealing with his war demons. Then out of nowhere WIC is holier than Val and can judge everybody knows better than everyone but can't control his own emotions and is out of line In the way he treats Yoshi. At least it wasn't an issue in part two of the book.

Average/"OK" compared to Book 1..but still worth the Credit
Revisado: 07-27-22
The wait time between the audiobook release has been very long compared to most J.N Chaney books. Especially since all six books in the series have been released in print form, for almost a year.
I just re listened to book 1 and 2 and about to start book 3 with it finally being released today. What struck me most so far after the binge listen is.
Each book is defiantly worth the cost of a credit. With run times of 12 + hours of any book done by these two authors. The story will at-least entertain with out feeling rushed. So many genre similar book series that run several book long keep shortening book lengths. With most capping at 10 hours and recently some pushing Novela length at 6-7 hours. A 12 hour plus listen is great. R.C Bray does a amazing job once again which isn't surprising. I sometimes find my next book just because he is it's narrator.
I find it annoying that Chuck is a complete rip off of "Skippy the Magnificent". If you're like me and halfway through an Expeditionary Force book you're tired of Skippy rants. Then Chuck will annoy you as well.

Great series/ cash grab
Revisado: 07-11-22
Great book. Great series. A All right series conclusions and finale.
This series is a pretty good trilogy. That had each book cut in half to make a six book series with some real awful short book lengths. Just very obvious a way to make your readers pay double.
Anyways I'm just glad he finally finished the series. I just hope this doesn't become the norm where audible start charging Multiple credits for what is really a single book.

I Can't believe, I wanted to pass on this book and series
Revisado: 05-25-22
I passed on spending a credit on this book at first. Reading through summery, nothing stuck out to catch my interest. Leaving me thinking it sounded like a dull and boring concept from what I imagined from the summery. By I kept coming back to re read reviews thinking how could anything created by two of my favorites ( Chaney and Partlow). Could be anything but Bad ass. So I have in!
I'm here to tell any one who is thinking along those same lines as I was. YOU are WRONG. Just do it, Spend that credit and press play! I'm so impressed with this series so far. It's unique, fast paced and pulls you in wanting more. After finishing the third book in the series. I started all over again from book 1 again!

Marko gives Frontlines Fans his Middle Finger to end series!
Revisado: 04-27-22
Frontlines Book 1-6 and it's Novellas have been a A fun, in depth series with Characters you can care for. Unique themes, Cool Tech Mixed and Fast paced Action scenes!
Then here comes...
Book 7. A Half assed, lazily done final addition. That it's insulation to readers of the rest of the series. Come on Marko, could you care any less at how Bad everything involving this book is!?
Just a few F u's to Frontlines series readers
- Release date changes at last minute adding a couple months
- the Narrator is changed! For the last book of the series!
- how could anyone have thought that would have been welcomed or a good idea.
- listening to a new voice in a well established series. Changes everything in a Audiobook! the flow, the dialogue, the characters.
-It becomes irritating.
- No real story archs to get into
- It's slow and boring with no real substance to get into
-WORSE ending Ever! to a book/Audiobook! Let alone a series Finale.
It's so surprising a book publisher would allow such garbage at the end of a book series with this many books and Novellas to be released! I can't believe anyone listened to this book pre release and thought. "Well done, that was good"
I keep hoping a Book 8 will Drop as some sort of redemption by Marko for the sake of the Frontlines series. But I don't see my self spending a credit ever again on something with his name on the cover it again.

Revisado: 10-11-20
I didn’t intend to power listen through this book. Having planed to make the credit spent, last until my next ones comes. But.... here I am less than 24 hours having finished Wayward Galaxy and it was great! Which is very predictable with R.C Narrating a Jason and JN Novel.
If your a fan of their work then its a no brainer you will enjoy their new book. I’m just Frustrated that unlike when I listened to all of Galaxy’s edge and could go from book to book in the same day. Now I have to wait for the next to be released in the series. KTF leig...

Sucked in my full attention
Revisado: 09-07-20
Book one legionnaire captures my attention, pulling me in to full binge mode in the first few minutes. Fast paced action scenes are great well being done so to build a emotional bond to main Characters. There is a Star Wars theme feeling I picked up during the second book. Met my expectations I hoped for when deciding to start the series. R.C Bray once again does a outstanding job. This is now the Second book series I found just due to his name being attached. Everything SciFi he narrates is will of course be great!
