Historia
More than 35 million Americans currently suffer from Hashimoto's - an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid gland and causes the body to attack its own cells. To alleviate the symptoms of this debilitating condition - including chronic cough, acid reflux, IBS, allergies, chronic pain, hair loss, brain fog, and forgetfulness - patients are often prescribed synthetic hormones that have numerous life-altering side effects. But there is a better way.

Way to overwhelming
Revisado: 04-24-17
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Tone it down. I feel that Izabella kinda misses the understanding that this book will be read by the lay person AND the lay person with Brain Fog and exhaustion. Being a Hashimotos sufferer herself I am sure she empathises but being on the otherside now and without the brain fog she has "forgotten" what it is like to concentrate. I would have it written more simply and with options for those who are not DINKS and have money to spare on tests, supplements. I am skeptical that I would be able to find a Dr that would take the time to undertake a program that is out of a book, claiming the cure for Hashimotos. I will take on some of her advice but as a single parent with two kids, my budget just cannot stretch to all the tests and supplements.
What other book might you compare Hashimoto's Protocol to and why?
Medical War and Peace
What about Erin Bennett’s performance did you like?
Great, Erin was clear and entertaining.
Do you think Hashimoto's Protocol needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Yes, a simpler version with less medical jargon

just not Kinsey without Judy Kaye
Revisado: 09-29-16
I love these books but I sorely missed Judy Kaye's narration of other books in this series. Lorelei king did a good job but her narration is very flat when describing the settings. it drove me crazy my the last chapter.
the story was good but not the best story from sue grafton in my opinion but overall I still enjoyed it and felt like I could escape into kinsey's world to take some time out .
can't wait for the next one :-)

cheesy
Revisado: 06-14-16
I loved the first part of this book even though I couldn't imagine why it was split into three parts. the second part was frustrating as I felt like we had to establish the story all over again. the third part? I struggled to finish it due to the inane cheesiness. . never will I pick
up another of this authors books.

Revisado: 06-11-16
I really enjoyed this story but be warned, it ends suddenly and leaves you feeling like you have only half a book. I will purchase the next book but I feel like I am being forced to buy something that should have been in this book.

Missing Doc Holiday & the team was split!
Revisado: 01-28-16
Is there anything you would change about this book?
.
Missing Doc Holiday/serial killer storyline
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
Interesting aspect was that Ms Hoag decided to split the Kovac and Lister team up and also introduce a new character with not much character.
The story just didn't have the grip that was in the Doc Holiday series.
Would you listen to another book narrated by David Colacci?
Yes, he is an excellent narrator although in this book he slipped up with the voices now and again. Characters occasionally sounded the same.
Was The Bitter Season worth the listening time?
Yes, I found the story a little weak and lacked the meatiness of the Doc Holiday series.
