Excellent and Captivating
Revisado: 03-11-25
I’ve seen the play, more than once and in more than one language. I’ve also seen the film. Needless to say, “I knew the story.” But this story is the original, different, full of details, suspenseful, and scary. The ending, wow! I quickly wanted to listen to something else because I didn’t want “the curse” or the “evil” to follow me.

Historia
A barely employed tech worker has never felt they belonged. Not in society, not even in their own family. Their days are filled with loneliness, a struggle to survive and a desperate search for connection—even if that connection is merely virtual. Now, a black-market hacker promises to open a new world for them, and it works—in ways no human has ever experienced. They find a world of wonder, of possibilities and of danger—where their new virtual reality could mean the end of their physical reality. And what they discover could change the fate of humankind—forever.

Interesting But Not Captivating
Revisado: 03-05-25
The story is interés but the plot isn’t captivating. There is also no depth to the characters and to the story itself. I finished it only because I wanted to know if it would amount to something at the end. It didn’t.

Historia
Jeff Daniels returns with more skits, more songs, and more boundless audio storytelling in Season 2 of Alive and Well Enough. Again, Daniels begins in the middle of all the action and traipses back and forth, up and down, and side to side in the timeline of his life to figure out how he ended up where he did. But this time, he delves even deeper into his craft. He considers himself one of the few actors who didn’t want to direct, but instead to write, and write abundantly.

Entertaining Masterpiece
Revisado: 03-01-25
I have always admired Jeff Daniel’s work. And ever since “Dumb & Dumber” came out, I wondered why. Now I know. I saw him twice in “To Kill a Mockingbird.” And now I have even more respect for the man.
What an entertaining and insightful, joyful and truthful journey this recorded memoir is. Also inspiring and educational. I hope there is more.

The story is painful and hunting. It truly makes you think and question about the meaning of all suffering and what its purpose is. And specially makes you question faith.

Powerful Singing Voice
Revisado: 02-03-25
Listening to Alex is a joy and inspiration. I say it was most about the singing than her personal journey. Alex touched on personal experiences but I felt they were glossed over due to the songs.
Still, Alex’s powerful voice is a gift to all of us.

Obviously written by men
Revisado: 01-09-25
Good story but the main female characters is hateful and annoying, not because it is her character but because the way she’s written, obviously by men who don’t know how to create female characters.
And the whole ending? Really? Justifying murder and criminal activity by police because “time has passed and you are not the same you were before?”
Bunch of BS and obviously written by white privileged men.

Good Story Cut Short
Revisado: 01-04-25
The writing is smart and the characters are well-fleshed out. The story is engaging but unfortunately it is cut too short. The story seems to end in medias res, leaving the reader/listener, very unsatisfied and unfulfilled.

Good Story, Okay Performance
Revisado: 12-30-24
Of course the story is well-written and well-told. The characters are engaging and everything is very exciting.
That said, the narrator wasn’t as engaging. Perhaps he was chosen to make the story coming from the Wizard’s point of view or some other reason, but he was not as exciting to listen to as the story itself.
